A couple of nights ago, I finally purchased a 2 Musketeers Mint chocolate bar. For months, I had been meaning to buy one, but kept forgetting to do so. Before I purchased the 2 Musketeers Mint bar at CVS Pharmacy, my intention was to buy a York Peppermint Pattie, but when I spotted the 3 Musketeers bar, I quickly changed my mind. York Peppermint Patties have been one of my favorite candy bars for many years and I just love eating any type of product that combines the flavors of mint and chocolate.
It was with great anticipation that I ate the 3 Musketeers Mint chocolate bar and I was surprised to find how closely it resembles a York Peppermint Pattie. Because these two products are so similar, I realized that a product comparison review was presenting itself. Texture
The texture of the York Peppermint Pattie is basically soft, yet its chocolate coating maintains a nice sense of bite, or snap, when it is bitten – into.
To me, the texture of the 3 Musketeers Mint chocolate bar is quite similar to that of the York Peppermint Pattie, but I think that it is slightly firmer. At any rate, the texture of each of these items is pleasant and enjoyable and they each provide a very nice mouth – feel.

Taste / Flavor
The flavor offered by the York Peppermint Pattie is very cool and refreshing. The mint flavor in this candy bar is fairly strong, almost bracing, yet it marries well with the delectable chocolate coating that envelopes it. One factor that I really like about this candy bar is that it is not too sweet, plus it does not produce any type of unpleasant aftertaste, as some mint items do.
The flavor offered by the 3 Musketeers Mint chocolate bar really surprised me when I finally ate one of them. I was expecting a subtle and mellow mint version of the regular – style 3 Musketeers chocolate bar, but what I encountered was an almost – entirely different product that to me, bore little resemblance to a regular – style 3 Musketeers bar. In my humble opinion, the flavor of this candy bar more closely resembles that of the York Peppermint Pattie than a regular – style 3 Musketeers bar. Regardless, both of these chocolate and mint candy bars are very tasty and if you are a fan of mint and chocolate, either one of these candy bars would probably be much to your liking.
Packaging
Both the York Peppermint Pattie and the 3 Musketeers Mint chocolate bar are packaged in shiny, silver – colored wrappers. Each of these items is easy to open and if opened correctly, they also re – close effectively. The rear label of each of these products also lists all pertinent ingredient and nutritional information.
Overall Rating
Each of these candy bars offers cool and refreshing flavor combinations of mint and chocolate. To me, the York Peppermint Pattie features a stronger mint flavor, but the more subtle mint flavor of the 3 Musketeers Mint chocolate bar is greatly appreciated. If you are seeking a strong mint flavor, the York Peppermint Pattie might really float your boat. If a more subtle mint flavor is what you crave, then the 3 Musketeers Mint chocolate bar might be your cup of tea.
