Will Joran Van Der Sloot Get a “Get Out of Jail Free” Card?

by itchyfish

According to CNN, Peruvian authorities did find skin under the fingernails of Stephany Flores Ramirez, but they found only a small amount. Will this skin reveal the DNA of Joran van der Sloot, the young man who earlier confessed to killing this beautiful young Peruvian woman? Or will the skin turn out to be skin from the young woman scratching herself in some way? Did Stephany Flores Ramirez manage to clamp on to Joran van der Sloot during her horrid ordeal? Did she manage to scratch him enough to secure evidence against him? If so, why did authorities find such a small amount of skin under her fingernails? Could Joran van der Sloot somehow have cleaned under her fingernails to rid them of DNA evidence? Will the skin that authorities found under her fingernails be enough to help convict Joran van der Sloot in her brutal death?

Joran van der Sloot now wants to take back his confession about killing Stephany Flores Ramirez, but a Peruvian judge will have to rule on whether or not this can happen, according to CBS. Joran van der Sloot’s lies are nothing new to the world, but how long can he circumvent his troubles by causing trouble with all his claiming and retracting? Will the Peruvian judge allow Joran van der Sloot to actually take back his confession, legally? Will the judge declare it null and void? If so, will this be the first step to Joran van der Sloot actually getting released from jail? This may sound like a preposterous idea, but if Joran van der Sloot can get away with confessing and then taking it back, what will he declare next? Will he declare that the authorities tampered with the crime scene? Will he accuse someone of editing the video that testifies to his comings and goings in the hotel? Will he claim abuse by guards? With Joran van der Sloot’s record of trying to shift the spotlight, any of these could happen, right? If this isn’t enough, it seems that Joran van der Sloot always has a lawyer or family member who wants to help him out of a sticky situation.

According to CBS, Peruvian attorney, Maximo Altez claims that Joran van der Sloot’s confession is invalid. So, what next? If this claim doesn’t work, Joran van der Sloot’s mother, Anita van der Sloot, is doing what she can to help him by claiming that he is “mentally unwell,” according to CNN. Sure, Joran van der Sloot is in trouble, but what is it about this troubled young man that people seem to want to protect? Is Joran van der Sloot so charming that people will try to help him out of a murder conviction, one to which he’s already confessed? Or is Joran van der Sloot just that convincing with his words? The good news to this ongoing situation with Joran van der Sloot is that he is in Peruvian confinement, which is not likely a pleasant experience. Even Joran van der Sloot knows that he’s in a dangerous place. According to CBS, Joran fears someone killing him while he’s being jailed in Peru. Not only does this tell of Joran’s knowledge of the danger, but it tells that Joran also knows that he’s not particularly liked for reasons that should be apparent.
