White Water in Branson, Missouri

by itchy fish

White Water in Branson, Missouri is a great place to visit on a hot day. They have plenty for everyone.

If you forget anything, you will want to stop by the Surfside Trading Company store. It is located as you come in. You can’t miss it. They have everything you need. From sun block to hats, you can find it at this store.

One thing to remember when visiting White Water is that they don’t allow any footwear on the slides. They will let you take them off and hold them. If you have small children like mine, you may have to hold their shoes also. The sidewalks get very hot because there is little shade on your way to the slides. If they would put some sprinklers in along the walk, you wouldn’t feel like your feet were burning. I would suggest wearing water shoes and then holding them on the slides. Your feet will be much happier and so will you. I wish I would have because I looked at my feet a couple times to see if they were burnt. If you forgot water shoes, you can pick some up at the Surfside store. The only slides that you can not hold them is the drop lanes and racing lanes in the Kalani Towers.

The Kalani Towers at White Water consists of six slides. Two of the slides are drop slides. The drop slides are 75 feet tall. Then there are four racing slides. These are a lot of fun for the family. You carry mats to the top of the 310 feet tall slides. Then slide down the hill face first on your mat. This is one slide you will definitely be going on more than once. My family went four times down these slides, but my husband won every time. I think he may have been cheating.

For the little ones, there is Splash Island and Little Squirts Waterworks. Splash Island has shallow water, shooters and slides for the tiny kids. Little Squirts Waterworks has no water depth. It has slides, wheels to turn and spouts.

There is plenty for the whole family to enjoy together. Your family will love Rain Tree Island. It has geysers, slides and shooters. There is also a bucket that dumps out every once in a while. Twist and turn together down the Ohana Falls. Ohana Falls is a raft ride. Another great family slide is the Raging River Rapids. You can race each other down this fast set of slides. There are two person tubes on this slide, too.

For those looking for a little more adventure, there is something here for you also. The Bermuda Triangle at White Water is completely enclosed and dark. The Pipeline Plunge is a fast slide for those seeking speed. Or you can hit the waves in the Surfquake Wave Pool. The waves get pretty high in this wave pool. It just seems to be longer between each set of waves than any other wave pool I have been in.

Before you end the day, no matter how old you are, you will want to relax with a trip on the lazy river at White Water.
