Summer is almost over and time is ticking toward school time again. That means shopping for school uniforms, as well as school supplies, which can put a strain on your pocketbook; especially, if you have to shop for more than one child.
I no longer have school age children but I do have a grandchild that lives with me. It not hard shopping for him but can be difficult finding stores that offer reasonable prices. Over the years I have found 3 stores that I buy his school supplies from. The quality is very good and the prices are more than reasonable.
Almost every city have a Walmart–this is my number one choice. Right now as I speak the store is geared-up for back to school shopping. School supplies stacked everywhere. You can buy almost, if not all ,your children school supplies from this one store. Notebook paper is dirt cheap maybe 33 cents to 50 cents or less for 100 count or more. Packages of pencils for about 50 cents or less. They have folders for about 10 cents to 20 cents. The amounts that I am quoting may not be exact but they are pretty close. Walmart is the best when it comes to prices. Let me mention these type of prices are in effect at the beginning of shopping season but a few day before school the prices varies a lot.
Maxway is my second choice. This is more like a discount store. Regular school supplies are at a reasonable price but some things are a slight higher than Walmart. I usually purchase my grandson book bag from this store. The quality is upgrade and sometimes they even have overstock where they purchase from high end stores. I usually pay no more than $10 for book bag. A lot of the book bags that Maxway carries are the same bags that are in other stores that run from $15 or more. Good choice on my behalf, I think.
Super10 is my third choice. This is also a discount store. You could say it’s a sister store to Maxway. Super10 is usually where I purchase school supplies when I can’t find them at Walmart or Maxway. This sometimes happen when I wait until the last minute to do school shopping. The prices here are okay–just a slight higher than Walmart and Maxway.
I guess you wouldn’t consider school uniforms as supplies but if you do and if you have a B&B Uniform Store in your area, this is the place to buy. Every shirt, pant, shorts, skirt or whatever is here. The prices are very reasonable. You can purchase five complete uniforms for under $100. I always have to mention the quality which is very good. You can’t beat it for savings and quality.
School shopping doesn’t have to be a hassle or a burden on your pocketbook, just knowing where to shop will help relieve the stress. Not all cities have a Maxway, Super10 or even a B&B Uniform Store but most cities do have a Walmart.–Make the most with it by shopping there and saving money.
