When is the World Going to End Predictions

by itchyfish

When is the world going to end predictions are countless these days on the internet. I find it tragic and hilarious that one million people seem to have varying ideas as to when the world is going to end. The truth is that nobody knows an exact truth or can lay claim that their specific prediction is accurate. It’s all fantastical speculation.

Many claim the world is truly going to end at some point but can anyone actually give a definite answer on this date? It seems far fetched to believe that anyone would actually know an answer that. Not an answer that has any substance. Scientists have looked at meteors and possible collisions and that seems to be the most relevant conclusion anyone can debate concerning the end of the world. So why do we have a natural curiosity for something that won’t happen during any of our life times? And if the world does come to an end-who is going to able to read any of these stories or end of the world predictions and argue with it then? We will all be gone, right? Unless of course there is an after life.

I was pondering the issue of when the world is going to end the last few days as I watched some science specials that claim there are several ways such a thing could happen. As if we don’t have it bad enough these days, there are people out there making end of the world predictions and doing television specials about the possibilities. It’s like taking a step back and fantasizing about the millions of ways you can possibly die. Why would anyone want to torment me or them by projecting such lunacy?

Not many of the end of the world theories, let’s just call them, have the end of the world happening anytime during our generation. Not many of the theories have us as the human race being able to do anything about it, either. The end of the world theories typically involve some cosmic collision or explosion that we would never see coming.

So I keep wondering to myself why so many people are consumed with when the world is going to end. If it’s not going to happen during our lifetime and we can’t do anything about it then it serves no purpose to think about it other than the fact that the topic is just interesting to some.

Sure, there will be people who might say that our grandchildren or even great grandchildren will be lost when that day does come. But is that even likely to happen even in the next 200 years?

This era of humans seems to have the ego to think that our generation is the rare one that will be swept off the face of the earth like the dinosaurs. So let me get this straight–we’ve been on the planet for thousands of years or more and the people of this generation have the nerve to think we are the ones who will be eliminated? Some may say that you should be careful what you wish for because it just might happen. I say it doesn’t matter what you wish for because this planet was here long before you got here and will most likely still be around long after you leave it.

The end of the world predictions and theories sometimes point to disease as the thing that wipes the human race out. While that does seem like a possibility, modern technology will most likely prevent that. We aren’t just talking about thousands of people. We are talking about millions upon millions–and that’s just in China.

Seriously, the end of the world predictions and theories are more funny and interesting than anything to be taken seriously. Nostradamus was already off base with his end of the world predictions. So I figure by this point we are all saved and spared from such a horrible demise. The good news is that my end of the world predictions say that there will not be an end of the world. I might be the first to go out and state it on the record. The world will never end. There, I said it. Put me down as the guy who was right forever. FADE IN REM SONG….
“it’s the end of the world as we know it”.

I can see it now. “Remember that Chris Houston cat-back in 2010, he said the world is never going to end? Man, it’s been 900 years and that guy is still right. What a genius!”

Oh, rest and relax. The world will just keep going and going like the Energizer rabbit on a sugar high. So please quit bothering us with your doomsday and end of the world predictions and theories. The only thing you will ever be is wrong. And if you are right, nobody will ever know the difference because they will be dead–after all, it would be the end of the world, right?
