We live in a world where we constantly worry about what other people think of us. You can have freedom when you realize that whatever you think of me is none of my business.
Free From Worrying About Whatever You Think Of Me
When I’m free from worrying about whatever you think of me, I can set out to achieve my full potential. It seems like we spend so much of our lives trying to please other people and often times this will stifle our progress as human beings because we aren’t using our natural abilities of what we’re best at.
Each one of us has a natural ability; some people like to call it a gift. It’s an area of life that we excel in, what we’re best at.
Hollywood, has sold us a bag of goods that says,” what ever you think of me, is more important than what I think of myself.” We have bought this bag of goods from Hollywood and we continue to do it to this day. The, whatever you think of me is more important than what I think of myself, is an idea that we continue to buy from Hollywood and it’s killing us. This is the business of Hollywood.
People read magazines to find out what the latest styles are and they put on different looks as they try to fit in, to Hollywood’s mold of what perfection is for the rest of society.
Everybody wants to be loved. Everybody, wants to feel wanted, to feel needed, to feel like they matter.
When we don’t fit into the typical mold that Hollywood and the media paint for us, we think that something is wrong with us. We’re taught that whatever you think of me is more important than what I think of myself.
Money And Power
Advertisers do this because they want to sell you more stuff. The more stuff you buy, the more money they get. The more money they get, the more power they have.
Money Equals Power
It’s sad to say but we live in a world where money equals power. The more money you have, the more power you have. Having a lot of money doesn’t always equal good decisions though.
Educated, Uneducated, And Chaos
To the educated person, money means the ability to do whatever you want in life. To the uneducated person who just spends money flagrantly, money can cause chaos.
Affects Of Chaos
To see the affects of chaos, all you have to do is watch the nightly news. You have your choice of local news, or national news, or both.
We rarely ever see good things happening in the world on the news. On the news, everybody has a problem, everybody is bitching and moaning, everybody is in pain, everybody; is fighting over one thing or another.
Whatever You Think Of Me, Is More Important Than What I Think Of Myself
Now you say, why is there all of this chaos? What is every body fighting for? It all boils down to the bag of goods that we’re sold by Hollywood,” Whatever you think of me, is more important than what I think of myself.”
Everybody, want people to live a certain way and when they don’t live by their standards, they get upset.
What we need here is acceptance. The truth of the matter is that we live on this planet together. We live on a big enough planet where we can each do our own thing without much chaos or disruption. When we have acceptance of each other, that’s when we have peace.
Wars And Violence
It’s when we try to force our ideas on others that we have things like wars and violence.
A More Peaceful Place
If we could just accept this one truth, whatever you think of me, is none of my business; the world would be a much more peaceful place.
