I think I somewhat exhausted myself yesterday and published five articles, which is probably a record for me, especially as I work full time as well as writing.
Today however I have a lot that I want to publish, but one story, the first part of our honeymoon trip to Cornwall, one of the most picturesque parts of England, will take me a long time to write, and will have to be split into installments, if I end up going into my usual level of detail with it.
I really wanted to find something quicker to get a posting in place though, but what to write about?
Yesterday, having been back from honeymoon for a few days, and only having published a single post per day, A Cloud Of Ash Could Change The World As We Know It on Monday and Introducing The Ninja Monkeys on Tuesday, I wanted to write something more.
I saw that there was an assignment on Summer Poetry, and since I don’t often manage to fulfill assignments, I wrote a poem entitled Summertime Sightings.
I then remembered that it was Wednesday, the day of the week when I publish my popular article on Offbeat News, and so since I had not managed to do this for several weeks, I found some really bizarre news items and published a longer than usual post, which so far seems to be very popular.
Something made me recall that it was Earth Day today, and I thought I might try my hand at writing an Acrostic Poem for Earth Day which turned out quite well, not something that I attempt very often.
While publishing this, I noticed that the assignment for Summer Poetry was still sitting there. Even though I had claimed the assignment, I had forgotten to select it when publishing the previous poem, and so rather than waste it, I had to write an second Summer Poem. Since I was not really in the mood to write on that topic by then, this took a bit longer to think about, but I think it turned out ok.
Finally, I began work on something that I knew my readers would be interested in, and wrote about the events surrounding our wedding, with a detailed story called I’m Back. I guess it must be popular, since it is currently one of the most commented articles for yesterday. Quick pat on the back for me (if my arms will reach) and a big THANK YOU to my followers for all the wonderful comments.
Now what I need to do is to do some serious sorting out of photographs of the wedding and the honeymoon. I don’t plan on publishing more than a few of these, since nobody on Associated Content is really interested in seeing Great Aunt Fanny and the wider family. I did however take over 800 photographs while in Cornwall, including a number of quaint little fishing villages, walks across cliff tops and fields, old Iron Age villages, and since my slideshows of England seem to be popular, I hope to take you all on a journey to Cornwall if you will follow me there.
Well as for today, what shall I write? Oh I know – this!
Well that’s a quick summary of what I have been up to, and what lies in store for you in the coming weeks as far as my slideshows. I also plan to write something about the upcoming General Election in the UK, which will no doubt be a brutal condemnation of the economic situation here and the inability of the government to do anything about it.
Meantime in between writing new articles, I am trying to whittle down the number of articles that people I follow have published, and I am trying to get below 2,400… It’s not easy to keep up though…
