You will know that you are in love when there is a certain amount of nausea involved. If not nausea, then diarrhea. Love, for some reason, plays havoc with the entire digestive system. If you have to run to the toilet a few minutes after meeting your beloved, ssing a picture of your belved or just thinking about your beloved during a dream, then this is a very good sign that you have fallen in love.
What Is Love?
Being in love means that you want to live with someone, not just sleep with them. You get just as much pleasure watching them smile as you would doing various physical activities that I cannot graphically describe here. You want to be around them all of the time. Everything they do is suddenly the most fascinating thing in the world.
There is usually a certain amount of caring and admiration involved when you are in love, as well. You would gladly take a bullet for your beloved (theoretically). If your beloved becomes sick or injured, you take care of them without any sense of revulsion. It has been said that if you see your beloved with the flu and still love them just as much when they’re hugging a toilet as when they are looking their best, then it’s love.
Love is a very powerful, all encompassing feeling that leaves you a complete drooling idiot. Oh, you may aspire to do great deeds and honorable works of art in honor of the beloved, but quite frankly, they are really just pathetic pleas for the beloved’s attention. Love feels wonderful. God’s in His heaven and all’s right with the world, yada yada — except that you have to go to the bathroom a lot more often.
A Friendly Warning
Love feels fanastic, but comes at a price. Know that you are a blithering idiot at this time, and keep a reserve of money in the bank that can’t be touched by anyone else but you just in case. Or, give it to your mother (or other family member you trust) to put it in the bank for you. Although you will feel wonderful, your ability to make decisions will be greatly impaired. For some reason, love especially makes the ability to make rational financial decisions suddenly go right out the window.
Try to pay attention to what other people you trust are telling you about your beloved. You won’t be able to really comprehend what they’re saying, but try anyway. You need to still keep in touch with reality and keep true to who you are. Just because you are in love, it does not mean that your beloved is worth loving. But just because your beloved won’t love you back doesn’t stop you from your feelings. Like a drug, sometimes you have to be saved from love. Keep in contact with your family members or people who you trust to have them drag you into therapy if your love winds up getting the best of you.
