Wedding details for Chelsea Clinton’s wedding is shrouded in secrecy, but Entertainment Tonight (ET) had some inside scoops on the Clinton plans. What’s in store for the former First Daughter’s big day?
Chelsea’s mom, Hilary Clinton said on ET, “My daughter has really taken of it. she knows what she wants how she wants to have it come off.”
It sounds as if it’s going to come off as one big extravaganza. Secretary of State, Hilary Clinton has been busy dress shopping and checking out floral arrangements online, ET was told by Sheryl Gay Stolberg, New York Times White House Correspondent.
“The Secretary of State sent out an email to her employees referring to herself as the M.O.T.B., which is wedding planner lingo for mother of the bride,” Stolberg said. “She’s been squeezing in dress selections and tastings.”
What About Plans for Chelsea Clinton’s Dad?
Stolberg said Chelsea reportedly told her dad, former President Bill Clinton, that, “If you’re going to walk me down the aisle, you need to look good. So, he’s been trying to lose fifteen pounds.”
What’s a father of the bride to do? Would that be F.O.T.B. in wedding planner lingo?
Wedding Date and Location
Chelsea Clinton’s wedding date is reportedly Saturday, July 31st.
Plans for the event are fairly airtight to the public, but it’s been sniffed out by ET that at least two hotels are booked for the wedding weekend, but no one is saying by whom.
Location for the wedding is thought to be planned at the historic Astor Court Estates in Rhinebeck, New York.
Jung Lee of Fete tells ET that the hotel is perfect for Chelsea’s big day.
“It’s 13,000 square feet and overlooks the Hudson River. Security at the wedding will be paramount,” Lee said.
What’s more important than the wedding dress? Who will be the lucky designer creating the bride’s gown?
Jung Lee tells ET, “Speculations are that Oscar de la Renta will be designing it or Vera Wang.”
What designers has the M.O.T.B. been searching online for her daughter?
