In the United States there is a serious problem with kids being overweight. The government and many others have been trying to come up with ways for parents and school officials to help ensure that children eat healthier. Many have found that one of the things that add to children being overweight is their lack of activity. Unfortunately children become inactive by watching their parents or perhaps the lack of involvement that their parents have in their lives. So how can you be adding to your child’s lazy ways? Lack of Family Time
The first way is lack of family time. Believe it or not many parents can be creating lazy children simply by not playing with them. It may sound simple enough but many parents are so busy they don’t make the necessary time. Staying active for the entire family is a great way to ensure that everyone stays healthy. Even if you don’t have the time during the week why not find time on the weekend where you can take your kids to the park, or take them in the yard to play a few games.
Too much television watching
The majority of kids tend to follow the pattern which is set by their parents. If they see that their parents are constantly watching television they may choose to do so also. This can cause some very lazy patterns to develop. Some parents also choose to watch television while they eat, which is another bad habit. Eating and watching television can really add to weight gain and put you on the path to laziness. So why not set a better example for your children by turning the television off.
Large amount of junk food
What a child eats can also add to their feeling lazy which can cause them to just lie around doing nothing. Parents can add to the problem by purchasing a large amount of junk food, and keeping it in the house. So why not check the amount of junk food you have on your food list. Why not change the junk food to some healthier options. You will be helping your children to not feel so lazy.

Most parents want their children to be healthy but fail to realize that it starts with their own example.
