Vintage clothes truly cannot be overrated. Beautiful, one of a kind, and often at a fraction of the price of mall stores, vintage clothing stores are great places to find a deal. And if you have a closet full of clothes you no longer like, many vintage stores offer consignment options or will buy your clothes upfront.

Atlanta, GA 30307
Clothing Warehouse is a true vintage store, with fashions from most of the 20th century and a heavy focus on shoes, dresses, and cowboy boots. They stock both men’s and women’s clothing and have a truly astounding stock of clothes. The vintage mecca for Atlanta hipsters, Clothing Warehouse is not for everyone, and the staff can be snooty. If you’re looking for a true period piece of a unique t-shirt, however, there’s no better place to go.
Plato’s Closet is a chain consignment store and specializes in selling secondhand current fashions. However, they do have some vintage-inspired pieces and are a great stop if you’re looking for a bargain. Located in several strip malls across metro Atlanta and catering to both men and women, you’re sure to find a good deal at Plato’s Closet. As an added bonus, they’ll buy your gently used clothes directly rather than putting them on consignment.

Finder’s Keepers has been a Decatur landmark for over a decade, and with good reason. They stock a huge variety of products, from children’s clothes to adult fashion, accessories, and electronics. Their primary customers are families, so don’t expect to find the latest trends here, but you can find excellent period pieces as well as a huge variety of secondhand clothes. They buy clothes, toys, and other items on consignment.
3983 LaVista Road
Tucker, GeorgiaWhile Goodwill may not be an intuitive stop for high fashion, the Goodwill on LaVista Road has never steered me wrong. They seem to get a ton of donations, many of which are high-quality designer labels. Their stuff comes at rock bottom prices and they employ people in need of jobs and skills. They also accept donations. Check them out and support a good cause!
Psycho Sisters has several vintage stores around the Atlanta area and has been around so long it might as well be the official thrift store of Atlanta. They accept items for consignment and have a constant stream of new vintage merchandise. They also sell some new items and specialize in cheap, unique shoes, wigs, sunglasses, and jewelry. They also have a costume section and a section for “real” vintage. Other items are primarily current fashion resell.
