Vienna’s jealousy of “Bachelor,” Jake is what caused their bad break up, according to an interview Jake gives PEOPLE magazine due out Friday. Jake and Vienna’s rep announced the break up of their engagement Tuesday, followed by a storm of interviews and statements by both sides. In this interview, Jake discusses Vienna and how he feels betrayed by the controversial 24-year-old who was loathed by “The Bachelor” contestants in season 14.
Vienna’s Jealousy of Jake’s Opportunities Caused Tension Long Before the Bad Break Up
Vienna Girardi was the woman Jake Pavelka chose over the more favored Tenley Molzahn on “The Bachelor” final episode on March 1. Jake was warned by the other contestants of Vienna’s reputation for being spoiled, causing drama, and not having good intentions. Pavelka chose Vienna in spite of the stern warnings the other women gave him – most notably Ali – and ultimately chose Girardi for his bride.
Jake gives his side of the bad break up from the former Hooters girl. He feels betrayed by Vienna and tells PEOPLE, “She was watching these doors open for me, and it was causing an intense amount of jealousy.”
Pavelka added Vienna craved fame and wasn’t getting the attention he was. The spotlight wasn’t shining on her nearly to the capacity it has been on him.
Jake Financially Supported Vienna While She Slept Late Every Day
Vienna was unabashed when she went on “The Bachelor” in her introduction saying she was unemployed. She was seen lounging around luxuriously on a boat, having mommy-daughter days with her cute dog, and bragging she’s a ‘daddy’s girl.’
These characteristics of Girardi spilled over into her engagement with Jake. Jake tells PEOPLE he financially supported Vienna when she slept in late every morning.
Pavelka told PEOPLE, he supported Vienna while she slept “until 10:30 a.m. every day.”
Jake Said in His Interview He Called it Off with Vienna Over the Phone – Jake’s Future Love Life
Jake also said of his bad break up with Vienna that it was he called it off with her over the telephone. Pavelka, 32, said in his interview, “In my mind it’s over,” when it comes to any possibility of reconciliation.
What about “The Bachelor” star’s view on a future romance? Is he giving up on his love life for now or is he ready to look again? Jake told PEOPLE in the interview, “I do want to get married, but I want to marry the right girl.”
Hopefully Jake will make a choice that will make him happier next time around. Did he learn anything from this bad break up with Vienna? Should Jake Pavelka take a second season on with “The Bachelor”? That might be an interesting angle for the ABC franchise…second chances.
