UPDATE: I tried a little experiment to see if key words frequency really triggers page views and I am disappointed to report that quite honestly they don’t! It is content driven.
My conclusion is based on this fact: While I had hundreds of people view my article on the 99ers and unemployment, http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/5677492/do_we_need_help_for_99ers_and_a_fifth.html?cat=31
And just a handful found there way to this posting.
So in the interest of full disclosure I wanted you to know that key words are important but searches are really driven by content. However, I am still investigating the secret formula…..
Silly me. I got my degree in Language Arts from an Ivy League college which taught me not to repeat myself.
Well, that was a million years ago before the Internet. Before Angelina Jolie came on the scene.
After months of slaving away on the Internet I found my articles were not getting the exposure I thought they should receive. Nowhere near the exposure of Angelina Jolie.
Why not? I tried everything. I changed subjects, I tried more exciting bylines, I posted on different sites.
Well, thanks to the diverse range of articles on Associated Content, I believe I discovered the answer.
” Key words” and repetition make a big difference on the Internet. Searches like ” Angelina Jolie’ must rank pretty high on the key word list.
I am not a computer geek and I barely understand how search results work but after reading the freelance articles by some informative contributors here, I believe it has to do with repeating words from your title at least five times. So here goes.
This is my key words experiment. Thank you for your attention. And thanks to Angelina Jolie for her brilliant performance in ” Salt.”
I am going to use the term ” key words” as much as possible and my fellow readers I will let you know if my little experiment with ” key words” works. Oh, and don’t forget to look out for that new tell all book on Angelina Jolie.
Thank you for being part of my experiment and my sincere appreciation to the other writers who addressed the joy and the frustration of being a freelance writer using key words to advance your career without the income of a movie star….like Angelina Jolie .
Now it is possible I misunderstood the importance of ” key words” and repetition to the Internet.
If that is the case I will post an article by Friday.
But I hope if I find the answer I can help you find it too! So I am planning to go to the forums and social networking sites suggested by the Associated Content marketing department and follow their suggestions.
But for today, I am relying on key words via the Internet and your advice.
Please comment if you have any suggestions or if I am driving you insane with ….you guessed it…key words. Thank you for indulging me. Oh forgive me there is one more popular key word I have to include.
Oskana d harcourt. Never heard of her but she comes up high on the Google search list. Oskana d harcourt is a French Actress I presume. Just like Angelina Jolie. LOL.
