The West Avenue development in Houston, Texas can look forward to two new concept restaurants that are expected to open for fine dining before the end of the new year. Located where Kirby and Westheimer come together, West Avenue is already home to great shopping, dining, spas and more. The Schiller Del Grande Restaurant Group, who have brought Houston both RDG – Bar Annie and The Grove, will be opening Ava Brasserie and Pizzeria Alto, two very different restaurants that should bring plenty of great food and wonderful ambiance to the Houston, Texas dining experience.
The Schiller Del Grande Restaurant Group, whose motto is “The Art of Restaurants”, has brought several fine restaurants, as well as some popular restaurant groups, to Houston, Texas already. RDG – Bar Annie, mentioned above, is located on Post Oak Avenue. This is one of the most popular restaurants in town, where folks gather in casual but elegant surroundings to enjoy both lunch and dinner. RDG Grill Room serves up entrees that include Rainbow Trout and Grilled Quail, and at Bar Annie’s you can choose such dishes as Crispy Chicken Tacos or Handmade Gulf Shrimp Burgers. Schiller Del Grande Restaurant Group’s other restaurants include Houston, Texas’ Rio Ranch Steakhouse, Taco Milagro, Café Express and The Grove.
Taco Milagro is a fabulous Mexican Restaurant located in Houston, Texas that has great outdoor seating. You can enjoy fountains and palm trees while you dine, plus a tequila bar and live music on weekends. Café Express is a popular chain restaurant that features great food in a “self-service” style. And the Rio Ranch Steakhouse is THE place to go in Houston, Texas if you are searching for cowboy cuisine, complete with a 20-foot long oil painting depicting the last cattle drive out west. And then, of course, there’s The Grove.
Whether you want to enjoy casual dining at the restaurant or meet friends at “The Treehouse” for drinks and appetizers, you owe it to yourself to experience The Grove in Houston, Texas. Their menu includes Wood Grilled Salmon, Charcoal Grilled Strip Steak, and Alaskan Halibut. They have a wonderful wine list that includes a lovely Cabernet Sauvignon from Texas’ own Becker Vineyards. And in addition to the incredible food and breathtaking views of the 12-acre park where it sits, The Grove is one of the most eco-friendly restaurants in Houston, Texas. They have their own herb and tomato garden, recycle all the paper, cans, plastics, glass and cardboard that they use, and only use compostable trash and kitchen bags! Access their website here.
Schiller Del Grande was founded originally by four partners twenty years ago, including legendary Chef Robert Del Grande, who has won more culinary awards than any other chef in Texas. They have built a successful reputation as restaurateurs here in Houston, Texas, which is why these two restaurants are being greatly anticipated by Houston diners. And located just upstairs from Ava Brasserie, Pizzeria Alto will serve up designer pizzas and a specialized late night menu. Both will be managed by the current manager of The Grove, Rawad Semaan. More details will be forthcoming as the restaurants’ opening dates approach.
So get hungry Houston!
