With the first episode of True Blood‘s third season scheduled to air on HBO on June 13, fans are buzzing about what to expect. Most specifically, what are True Blood fans looking forward to most with the third season of the vampire series? Here are a few thoughts from some fans.
Layla Lair wants to know more about the Sookie-Eric-Bill love triangle. “I cannot wait to see if the blood Sookie drank from Eric will bring her closer to him, or if her love for Vampire Bill will carry her through. If it does carry her through, can Vampire Bill fight his past and his maker Lorena? Then there is Lafayette. Will Lafayette be turned by Eric the sheriff? However, what I really look forward to, will Sookie become a vampire and who will be her maker?”
Chris Griffy simply wants to see more of Anna Paquin in her portrayal of Sookie Stackhouse on True Blood. “I’m in serious lust with Anna Paquin so I’m going to say her…” Griffy said.
For Rissa Watkins, a reader of the Southern Vampire Mysteries that True Blood is based upon, True Blood‘s third season means the introduction of a new character she can’t wait to see – Alcide Herveaux, the werewolf, played by Joe Manganiello. “Come on now…Alcide! Bring on the original sexy werewolf!” Watkins encouraged.
Lucinda Gunnin agrees about the furry supernatural creatures on True Blood. What is she looking forward to for season three? “Werewolves, duh!” Gunnin said.
Haley Koehling, wants to see more of True Blood‘s Viking vampire, Eric Northman, played by Alexander Skarsgard in season three of the series. “More Eric! (naked Eric even better!)” Koehling said enthusiastically.
As a True Blood fan myself who is definitely looking forward to season three of the series, I am anxious to see the introduction of Alcide Herveaux. The werewolf element that is introduced in book three of the Southern Vampire Mysteries, titled Club Dead, is an aspect of True Blood that I can’t wait to see explored. Joe Manganiello as Alcide Herveaux in season three has the right look to be the werewolf I have pictured in my mind.
