The True Blood season premiere draws near, and now a season 3 trailer has been released. True Blood‘s season 3 premiere is set for June 13th, meaning we are just under two weeks until the brand new season of True Blood makes its way to our televisions. Until then though, the creators released a nice season 3 trailer that Entertainment Weekly posted today on their web site. HBO is definitely going to draw even more interest to True Blood this year, because in addition to the vampire storylines, it is just about time for the wolves to make their entrance into the shows mythology. The cast is also increasing in size to make way for some new characters, and of course they are about as attractive as can be.
The True Blood season premiere is Sunday, June 13th, 2010, and will mark the long-awaited beginning to the third season of the show. HBO has been placing past episodes in their On Demand programming as well as releasing an updated DVD set for the first season and of course the new DVD set for season two. Now the award winning show is about to return to television, and with it will come quite a few twists to the storylines that viewers may have grown accustomed to the past couple seasons.
HBO had to know that True Blood would become a big success when they started filming episodes, and slowly the viewers have really turned the show into a hit. It used to be one of those shows where people would talk about it to friends to convince them to check it out, but now it has turned into the type of show where groups of fans will sit down to enjoy the new episodes. The thing that might work the best for True Blood is that they also don’t pull punches on the set, and there is nothing PG about this incarnation of the vampire stories.
Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer, and Alexander Skarsgard all return as the interesting leads of the show, but they are also joined by a few new cast members as the main plot lines of the show are about to get extended a bit. The show looks to build off of its recent success, and with even more fans finding out about the show, the ratings could become the best the show has seen. For those that haven’t given True Blood a chance yet, we are talking about a show that has won quite a few awards as well, including the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Drama (Anna Paquin), a SAG nominee for best cast, and many other nominations as well.
The new season of True Blood might still be two weeks away, but if you have been craving the show, take a look at the trailer linked below to really spark that interest.
