Lafayette is interested but has to work. Jesus is willing to wait until Lafayette’s shift ends.

Alcide and Sookie are talking to the packmaster, Colonel Flood, who is not happy that Alcide has exposed the pack to a human. The Colonel says there is nothing they can do about what is happening with the weres and the vampires. Sookie hears Colonel Flood’s thoughts and knows that he is afraid.

At the Sheriff’s Department, Jason is washing cars when he sees a pretty blond drive by. He remembers seeing her in the woods. He umps into the police car and follows her – turning on the sirens to make her pull over. The shirtless Jason exits the car with sunglasses and a ticket pad, asking her for her license, registration and insurance card. She tells him she doesn’t think he’s a cop and wonders where his badge, his gun and his shirt are. Jason tells her he’ll be a cop “real soon” and still wants to see her identification. Jason asks why she was crying the first time he saw her. He introduces himself and she tells him her name is Crystal. Jason wants to meet her at Merlotte’s that night but she says no.

Talbot is giving Eric a tour of the mansion and is trying to flirt and show off. He shows Eric a crown and Eric is fascinated. It is a Viking crown and the sight of it brings up memories of his days as a Viking – with his family. He recalls when a werewolf attacked and killed his parents and sister then stole his father’s crown – the crown he is now looking at. His father’s dying words were to demand vengeance against those who killed them.

Bill has come to Alcide’s apartment to find Sookie. She hugs him and Bill tells her she must go. He tells Alcide he must get her out of Jackson.
