With so many developments in our gadgets in recent years, it can be hard to know which ones are worth getting, and which ones are just flops. As technology progresses it seems like there are more and more flops as well as hits. This can make it hard when trying to decide which of these new gadgets to get and which ones to leave at the store. For clarifications sake I’ll detail what to me is the definition of a “gadget” any device which implements current technology to make your life easier. With all the choices we have today it wouldn’t be unreasonable to assume that you might be a bit short on ideas of which gadgets would be useful to you. That is why I’ve generated this top 10 list of gadgets for 2010.
My number one pick for 2010, would have to be the Iphone 4. This handy little gadget lets you make phone calls, browse the web, play games, listen to music, watch streaming movies, and more. This new version of the Iphone will let you use 7 talk hours over 3G, 6 browsing hours over 3G, 10 browsing hours over Wi-Fi, 10 hours with video, 40 hours with music, or 300 hours on standby, utilizes a new screen which has four times as many pixels compared to the previous IPhone display, and sports black glass, and a stainless steel rim. Features and style you can’t beat that.
The second and third on my list, and these are for use with your PC. The “Mimo 720-F “Flex Screen” Touchscreen Monitor” this 7″ touch screen monitor can easily fit in your hand, allowing you to utilize all the power of your PC, but in the palm of your hand. When combined with the “Gefen GTV-WVGA-LR” a wireless VGA box. This box will sling your VGA signal up to 100 feet from it’s base letting you watch movies and more all on the move. When these two gadgets are combined they make the ultimate in portable computing solutions. Withing a 100 ft range you have full control over your PC, with all the power of it’s enhanced video card 8 gigs of memory and that quad core processor you so love. Imagine an IPOD Touch with all the power and software of your home computer and you have this kit.
The fourth on my list, the “HP Mini 210-1076NR” netbook. This netbook features a nearly 9 hour battery life allowing you to do some of the most comprehensive tasks. Even while on a 10 hour flight from the west coast to the east get more work done more efficiently by working in transit. If that isn’t appealing enough for you then bring a few DVD’s in flight with you and stay entertained through out the flight. No more worries about not being able to sleep on long boring trips this helpful gadget will ensure you remain either productive or at least entertained the whole way through.
The fifth on my list, the “WD TV Live HD media player” with this device no longer do you need to have your computers in the same room as your T.V. just to watch your movies on the big screen. You will never complain about quality or selection again with this unit.
The sixth on my list, the “HTPC Remote with Wireless Keyboard”. This little device features a built in touch pad with display. This device can give you full remote control of your PC. from your bed or your couch. This is a must have for anyone who has a PC that they use as a home entertainment center. No more bulky keyboards and lost wireless optical mouses this little device is no bigger then a television remote or a phone and has everything you need for full access, content control, and interaction built right in.
The seventh on my list, “Ipod Touch 4th gen” set to be released in September. This new device lets you take pictures, change the pictures you took, check your social networking sites, and nearly anything else you would want to do, except play PC games or watch DVDs. What makes this gadget so nice however is it’s size this device fits in the palm of your hand and when listening to music can act as a tiny mp3 player, or watch Internet streams while your waiting at the doctors office, and without a bulky laptop. It may not be the best for business but in entertainment for it’s size nothing else competes.
The eighth on my list, the “i-Got-Control iPhone Universal Remote” This small device allows you to control many household devices with your phone. Turning your phone into even more of a multimedia beast. With this little device you can change the channels on your T.V, turn on your home stereo system, control your set top multimedia boxes, and more. No more are you restricted to listening to the multitude of songs on your Ipod, or walking over to the tuner to set the desired station. You can rest easy and relax knowing that your universal remote is always right at hand, and never have to search for a remote control again.
The ninth on my list, the “Cordless Touchscreen Digital Cookbook” after long hours of intensive labor working just to pay the bills. When you come home you want something good to eat, but you don’t want to spend too much on it. With this little device you simply use the touch screen to select the meal you would like to eat. Then instantly comes the full instructions on how to make it. If you don’t have time to cook yourself, this would be a great gift for your wife.
The Tenth and final on my list, the “Self-Weighing Suitcase”. Never get stopped in the baggage check at the airport, or sent to the back of the line again. This suitcase has a lit blue led display which tells you the exact weight of it’s contents. You can be sure that when you arrive at the airport your luggage will be just the right weight to check in.
I get excited just reading about ingenious devices such as these? Most of them may be out of my price range, but they sure give you a bang for your buck if you can afford them. With this entire line of gadgets, I don’t think I would ever leave my couch again. With so many quality products at my fingertips it would be like having total control of my environment at all times.
