If you’re in the mood for a romantic night out, Tucson has some great restaurants to help you set the mood. The best part is you don’t have to completely break the bank to impress your date and have a great meal! The three Tucson restaurants discussed here are not only romantic, but priced to accommodate most budgets. A typical dinner-for-two at any of the following romantic Tucson restaurants will run between $50-70.
The Cheesecake Factory
4500 N. Oracle Road
While not scoring the biggest points for the actual food, the atmosphere at this Cheesecake Factory location almost makes up for it! This isn’t to say you can’t get a good meal here; quite the contrary. The challenge comes when attempting to wade through their 200-plus item menu options to find something suitable. With all those options, it may be surprising to discover many of the entrées leave quite a bit to be desired. (The Factory Burrito is excellent, however!) The Cheesecake Factory does ambiance, dessert and cocktails really well; if you’re only after the best food in town, this isn’t the place to go.
When it comes to the romance factor, however, good drinks, a shared slice of decadent cheesecake and a well-designed interior may be all you need! This Tucson Mall location is brand new, and is appointed in soft, earth tones and golden hues, and features interesting artistic design touches including wall murals, pillars and sculptures. The bar area is lovely, and the bathrooms are clean. The only drawback in terms of atmosphere would be the volume level of the canned music. It can get a bit loud, but then, if your date is hot and heavy, you should be whispering in each other’s ears, anyway!
Oracle Crossing Shopping Plaza
7635 N Oracle Road
Easily one of the best places to share a romantic Italian dinner in Tucson, Carrabba’s rarely disappoints. The dark-lit interior, intimate bar area and booths canopied with grapevines lend a very romantic touch to this Tucson restaurant, and the service is nothing short of exceptional.
The only thing better than the friendly and personalized service you receive at Carrabba’s is the food. Whether you like steak, grilled seafood or hearty pasta dishes, you will find what you want on this menu. Not only is all food cooked to order, you can even bring your own special ingredients to have the chef include in your meal preparation. This is a huge benefit for those with dietary restrictions who don’t want to fuss over what’s safe to eat on a romantic night out.
The music piped through the speakers at Carrabba’s is never overwhelming, and always fun to listen to. Rather than detracting from the mood and the food, the music at Carrabba’s (often Sinatra or similar) enhances the dining experience. Very romantic, indeed!
Black Angus Steakhouse
5075 N Oracle Road
Wine and dine the special person in your life with a delicious dinner-for-two at Black Angus. Just make sure they’re the meat-and-potatoes type! If they are, they’ll love Black Angus for its fresh meat, which is specially cut in-house and prepared to order. Seasonal veggies and delicious appetizers round out the meal, and don’t forget to visit the spacious, welcoming bar for a romantic nightcap.
One great feature for making Black Angus a part of your date night is you can skip the waiting and go straight to your table! Unlike many chains, Black Angus accepts reservations, which makes date planning a whole lot easier, especially if you’re trying to catch a movie after dinner. Once you arrive, the dim interior lighting, comfortable booths and rich colors allow the romance to flow like wine (which is also very good here!).
