The Tila Tequila attacked publicity has been fairly one-sided. After the Tila Tequila attacked incident broke out, reports of the attack were dominated by the victim. The reality star went right out on the offensive, sharing photos of the aftermath with TMZ, and stating in graphic detail what the Juggalos did to her. She is also committed to putting the Gathering of the Juggalos out of business, stating very publicly that she wants to sue them. But yesterday, the Tila Tequila attacked scandal finally included comments from Gathering of the Juggalos officials, as they criticized her for even going out there.
It has become clear that the Juggalos in the audience were out for blood from the start. Buzz that they were planning something was scattered through the Internet, and Insane Clown Posse allegedly warned Tequila she didn’t have to go on. Yesterday, Gathering of the Juggalos festival officials said the same thing.
In their first statement since the Tila Tequila incident broke, Juggalo Gathering LLC stated that they and Insane Clown Posse were not responsible. While the statement said that the ordeal was “extremely unfortunate,” Tequila was made well aware that she was not welcome beforehand.
Insane Clown Posse’s Violent J also told TMZ that, before the Tila Tequila attack, she was advised that she could leave and still get paid. But she allegedly said she’s “not a b**ch like that” and went on anyway.
The festival statement also laid blame on Tequila for removing her top. The ordeal got particularly bad after she took her shirt off, as the festival said that it “seemed to mock and further antagonize the crowd.”
These words only made Tequila lash out at the festival again on Twitter yesterday. She repeated the most graphic allegation in the story, saying that the Juggalos threw human feces at her. This time, she said that feces and urine were on her top before she took it off.
Tequila accused the Juggalos of setting this all up to get in the mainstream, and that she could have died from being hit by rocks. But she repeated that she will get the Gathering shut down forever, to stop everyone’s laughing.
Clearly, the war of words over the Tila Tequila attacked scandal is far from over. Juggalos still believe she brought it on herself, and the festival statement seemed to back that view up. But Tequila is not backing down, and has support of her own, since Method Man is also claiming to have been attacked that night.
She also said on Twitter that Tom Green has footage of her being hit by a rock. So there might be at least one more Tila Tequila attacked video out there, to make things even more heated.
