Branson, Missouri, has over 200 restaurants from themed places to more intimate settings. If you are in the mood for love and a night of romance there are many choices for your culinary delights. Here is your guide to the top three restaurants for the perfect date night. Don’t let a vacation to Branson go by without a romantic dinner for two when you visit.
Chateau on the Lake
West of Branson right on Table Rock Lake is the crown jewel of hotels, the Chateau on the Lake. Owned by John Q. Hammons, there are four dining choices on site from casual to fine dining. Whether you want breakfast, lunch, or dinner you don’t have to be a guest at the hotel to eat at one of Branson’s finest restaurants.
The Chateau Grille features an extensive wine list six pages long. Schedule your meal ahead of time for a chef’s specialty as the Executive Chef prepares your food with his or her own flair made just for you. An entrée starts at around $25 as part of a three course meal. Sunday brunch is their specialty.
For the lighter side of food there’s the Atrium Café and Wine Bar located by the entrance to the facility. Stroll along the indoor stream and gaze at the waterfall before you enter and enjoy a reasonably-priced meal such as a sandwich or burger for around ten bucks.
Branson Scenic Railway
The Branson Scenic Railway is a tour of the Branson area by train in passenger car. The dinner train is only on Saturday and departs at 5 PM but there is nothing more romantic than a train ride through the beautiful Ozark Mountains. Especially in the fall time, sunset makes the hills sing with plentiful colors of red, brown, and yellow.
The nearly two hour tour departs from an historic depot built in 1905 and takes you on a breathtaking tour of the surrounding countryside. The dinner train costs $55 as you ride in one of seven 1950s-era train cars.
Showboat Branson Belle
The only steamboat that rides on Table Rock Lake is called the Branson Belle and their dinner tours include live music and entertainment. A two hour cruise includes three course meals and even animals with a dog show. Dinner cruises depart at 4 PM or 8 PM.
For something extra romantic and secluded from the rest of the ship, the Captain’s Gala Dinner happens on the aft of the ship up high to see everything along the water at sunset. This seating arrangement will be dinner without the show if you prefer a quieter setting for dinner.
