Some of the best shopping outlets in the Detroit metropolitan area feature an eclectic mix of goods at a premium and discount pricing level. At some of the best retail outlets you can purchase goods at a dollar store and alligator shoes for $8,000. Such purchases are possible in the advanced retail maze of Detroit’s best venues.
My favorite shopping mall is the Somerset collection in Troy, Michigan. This is one of the only places you can purchase high-end crystal, alligator shoes, Tiffany jewelry, I-phones and eat at my favorite restaurant the Capital Grille. The Somerset collection features stores like Saks, Nordstrom, Macy and JC Penny. They also have more moderately priced stores like Sears, and Hudson’s. I like the location, the restaurants and the large mix of high-end brand names. Most stores cater to shoppers who make $70,000 and above but some items are quite unique. I highly recommend the Apple Store and P.F. Chang’s Chinese Bistro. The training of the Apple employees is remarkable, and the food of P.F. Chang’s in this location is to die for. If you visit, you will have a very good time.
Another great shopping venue is the TJ Maxx on 13 Mile Rd in Birmingham. This TJ Maxx is understated but the collection of decorative crafts is mind-blowing. This store swept me up in a storm of shopping fury as I purchased more than 10 items on my first visit. There are statues, figurines, paintings, boxes, buckets, planters, and everything else you can name. There are so many decorative pieces for accenting your home it is easy to be overwhelmed. Unlike other outlets, this store seems to have a plethora of never-before-seen items. I was very surprised how varied the collection is even though TJ Maxx is a chain store. I noticed several other shoppers were addicted as well. I recommend you go on a Saturday afternoon because it seems there are deliveries on Friday. The vases are my final recommendation. May you enjoy them the way I have.
My final shopping paradise is the Eastern Market in Detroit. In and around the Detroit metropolitan area, there is no market that is as diverse or comprehensive for food and plants. The Eastern market sells freshly slaughtered meats, and fresh spices. There is nothing like food that is fresh. The vegetables and foodstuffs are overwhelming there. You can purchase fruit so fresh; they still have leaves on the plant. No other outdoor market is as large or features such a wide variety. I highly recommend the Michigan apples and cherries.
These are easily some of the best shopping outlets in the Detroit metropolitan area based on variety, quality and ease of access. I hope you enjoy shopping at these retail outlets when you visit.
