The Resurrected Body
By Joe La Bianca
1 Corinthians 15:35-44
How do the dead come back from the grave? Do they bring their physical bodies? It is both foolish and mindless to think that the body that went into the ground is the same kind of body that comes out. I believe the Corinthians asked this question in a scoffing way, hence Paul’s rebuke “thou fool”.
The human body is a seed. The resurrected body is a flower. When you are buried, they are planting you. You will return as God’s wheat, or the Devil’s weed. You become wheat by believing in Jesus as your Savior through what He has done on the cross and at the tomb. You become a weed by believing everything else. If you reject what I just said, you are a weed seed. Quick, change what you are by faith in Christ.
There are graves everywhere, like someone scattered seeds on the whole earth. The seeds do not come back to life, but what the seeds are do. The seeds only die. When you sow, you do not plant the body, you plant the kernel of seed. God invented this process. In the operations of nature, there are many spiritual truths. It pleased God to make a world of many seeds and many bodies. This plainly recognized truth disproves evolution, where all seeds are common, and every living thing came from the same ancestor.
The unbridgeable separation of seeds and bodies from other seeds and bodies proves creation, where things are unconnected with no crossing over of specie and kind. Wake up, world, to the God of creation, and then realize your need for God’s Savior. All flesh is not the same; this is proven. Scientifically proven. Different seeds for different bodies. This is in direct opposition to evolution. Real science refutes evolution. Men are different from beasts; never in the fossil record are men linked with beasts. The schools teach that men are no different than beasts. And so men begin to act like beasts. Beasts are different from fish. Right here, in Paul, he says that beasts did not arise out of the ocean. This never happened, people. And the Bible foresaw this false teaching and refuted it from two thousand years ago. Another kind is birds. So we see that birds didn’t come from dinosaurs as the present day lie suggests.
Same with the stars. There are as many different kinds of stars as there are creatures on earth. That’s why you can’t really tell how big the universe is. Astronomers look at one star, assume the other star is the same, and then try to tell how far away it is by how much dimmer the further star is from the closer one. They assume they are the same when they are as different from each other as a fish is different from a person. But don’t tell the prideful scientist that, he knows better. Hah. Humble yourself before the living God, and then He will lift you up.
Our bodies are able to do something. They are able to perish. They are perishable. Our next bodies will not be able to perish. We decay now, not then. We are destroyed now, not then. The health-wealth preachers need to learn this. We are mortal now, but we will be raised immortal. All because of the cross and our faith in the cross. We are dishonorable now, not then. We are reproachful now, not then. The sinless perfectionists should learn this. We will be glorious one day, we will have a heavenly dignity. The present day praise seekers should learn this. We are weak now, frail, sick, and infirmed. That’s why we die. This is what Paul wrote, so don’t argue with me about it.
Those who think they can be perfectly healthy now, that it’s their right as Christians to be perfectly healthy now, are deceived and disobedient to this verse. If you are sick, pray for healing. But we all die of something, don’t we? In the resurrection, we will have power to not decay. Strength to not be weak. And wonderful life to last forever. We are sown a natural body. Our natural bodies are like seeds, to grow our spiritual bodies. We are raised, or we come up from the ground, a spiritual body. What is a spiritual body? How can a current of air, a spirit, have a body? Well, it can. Jesus, after He rose, was flesh and bone but in resurrected form. He was non-carnal, but substantial. He was ethereal, but still there. He was a spiritual body, not a ghost. He raised up in the flesh but the flesh was changed from corruptible to incorruptible. Not corruptible as in “sin”, but as in “able to die”.
So it will be with all who believe in Jesus as Savior. So believe in the cross/resurrection story and look up, for your redemption is drawing near.
