Staying at the Music Road Inn, located in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, was truly one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. A beautiful view of the Smoky mountains, a waterpark for families to enjoy right at the hotel, great service, and a full hot breakfast in the morning are just a few of the wonderful things in store for you and your family at the Music Road Inn.
The check-in staff was fast, friendly and helpful. There was a short line when I checked-in. I saw that coffee and several other beverages were served in the lobby so as soon as I had helped myself to a cup, the staff members were ready for me.
The Music Road Inn is quite beautiful inside. Elegant and family-friendly all at the same time. We’ve often stayed at the Hilton/Hampton brand hotels as a family on trips. They’ve been efficient in the past, but not very family-friendly. The Music Road Inn’s atmosphere has a resort feel and goes out of their way to make families feel welcome! We were very impressed!
We walked into our room and found it to be spacious and clean. Very clean, actually. I spoke with management and was told that the housekeeping staff must go through a rigorous 2 week training to learn the expected process. I learned that the housekeepers get down on their hands and knees to clean tubs and bathrooms so I felt much better knowing my 3 year old son was taking his nightly bath in a clean environment.
We had a room with a King Size bed and a couch with a pull out. This arrangement always works best for our family. The bathroom was incredibly spacious with 2 sinks, a large closet, a bench and shower/bath. Our balcony overlooked the pool and a view of the Smoky Mountains. Free wi-fi was available in the lobby and each room had wired internet available. We had to get a cable from the front desk for this to work.
The only minor problem we experienced during our stay was that our phone went dead the next morning. However, as soon as I alerted the front desk, the problem was resolved almost immediately.
Right across the street you’ll find the Music Road Hotel and convention center. They are owned by the same company and have many of the exact same amenities. There are a few differences between the Inn and the Hotel: 1)Music Road Hotel is situated right along the river, The Inn is across the street that backs up to a quaint residential area. 2) Both the hotel and the inn have small waterparks but the Music Road Inn has a shallow entry/baby pool area for young children and the Music Road Hotel does not. 3) The breakfast area at the hotel is larger and opens to a deck along the river. The breakfast area at the inn opens up into the pool area. I visited both places and while they are similar, I really enjoyed our room and the atmosphere over at The Music Road Inn and would suggest it for families with small children.
Each night after our adventures around Pigeon Forge, we would head down to the pool area and swim! The pool/waterpark areas are open until 11pm and the indoor pool/spa are open 24 hours. There is also a game room and a workout room.
The waterpark area at the Music Road Inn has a large pool with a shallow and deep end, a short water slide that opens up into the larger pool, a kids pool that is 1 foot deep on one side and 1 1/2 foot deep on the other with a water umbrella in the center, a lazy river and a cabana that serves drinks, pizza, ice cream and sandwiches during the day. We enjoyed a strawberry and pina colada smoothie from the cabana. It was fun to sip while on our tubes in the lazy river. After ordering, the staff actually brought it out to us while we were in the pool when it was ready.
I had the privilege of meeting with Sande Weiss who is the President and General Manager. We’ve all heard it said that “leadership comes from the top down” so if that’s the case, it is no surprise why every aspect of our stay at the Music Road Inn was wonderful! The people I met in Pigeon Forge are some of the friendliest people I have ever met, and Sande Weiss was at the top of that list! With a big hug upon greeting and the feeling that I had just made a new friend, Sande answered all of my questions and offered her assistance in any way while I was in the area.
You will not be disappointed if you choose to vacation with the Music Road Hospitality brand of hotels, found only in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee! I highly recommend them during your visit to the Great Smoky Mountains.
My family and I live in Colorado but we have family in Hendersonville, NC which is only 2 hours away from Pigeon Forge, TN… so you can bet that every time we’re visiting family, we’ll plan a few days to stay at the Music Road Inn!
