Are you looking for that perfect combination of ambience and chemistry for a romantic restaurant? Knoxville, Tennessee has many restaurants that would be perfect for proposing to that special someone or taking your spouse out for an evening filled with romance. Here is a list of my choices for the most romantic restaurants in Knoxville.
The most romantic restaurants in Knoxville #1
1823 W Cumberland Ave SW
Knoxville, TN 37916
Most of the items on the menu are in the $7-$12 dollar range. Appetizers include favorites like hummus or falafel. Entrees include pitas, gyros and kebabs of chicken or beef. Most of the entrees come with white rice. I’m not sure what they do to the rice but it is always good. Turkish coffee and desserts are available.
This Middle Eastern themed restaurant is perfect for a romantic dinner or lunch for the college crowd. Decorations include decorative plates, a large mural and richly toned wall hangings. Middle Eastern music plays in the background while you dine. The booths are both comfortable and subdued.
Parking for any business on the strip is challenging. The Ephesus Grill is no exception. Street parking is available about a block on either side of the restaurant. Otherwise you will need to circle the block and building until you find something.
The Ephesus Grill offers student discounts. Be sure to bring your ID with you. It’s also a WI-FI hot spot which is good to know when you aren’t looking for romance.
The most romantic restaurants in Knoxville #2
9405 S. Northshore Dr.
Knoxville, TN 37922
This restaurant is an eclectic mix of flavors and dishes. They are known for their sushi, stir-fry bowls and Asian food. Tabbouli salad and Souvlaki are also on the menu. The restaurant deecor is Asian with dark walls and red accents. Meals are large so sharing may be advised. Parking is not a problem. There is plenty of space in the shopping center and lot next door.
A romantic dessert is the sampler platter. It’s meant to be shared. This comes with 2 kebabs consisting of brownie bites, fried cheesecake and strawberries. All of this is drizzled in chocolate sauce.
Most of the entrees range are in the $12-$15 range. Reservations are suggested for busy weekend nights.
The most romantic restaurants in Knoxville #3
Naples Italian Restaurant
Naples Italian Restaurant
5500 Kingston Pike
Knoxville, TN 37919
Naples Italian Restaurant has been on Kingston Pike for as long as I can remember. It’s a favorite for prom-goers and couples who are in the mood for romance. The décor is decidedly red and white. You’ll find red and white checked tablecloths, red napkins and black accents. The restaurant interior reminds me of an outside café without the inconveniences. The décor is simple but elegant.
Groups can rent out the back room. It is not a huge space but seems to work well for large groups of 20 -30 people.
Naples Italian Restaurant has all the Italian dishes that you would expect plus some that you wouldn’t think about. These include Prince Edward Island Mussels and apple smoked pork loin.
Separate menus are available for lunch and dinner. Dinner entrees range from about $9 – $23. Small plate appetizers cost around $8-$9. Lunch entrees are between $8-$14.
Naples is located in the located at the corner of Kingston Pike and Homberg Drive. This popular restaurant fills quickly on Friday and Saturday nights. It is locally owned and operated.
