Taste / Flavor
All of the Snickers bar varieties that I have eaten have been very flavorful. The regular and King Size Snickers bars, with their great combination of milk chocolate, roasted peanuts, nougat and caramel is always a satisfying treat. The Snickers Fudge bar, which is a limited edition item, tastes superb, with its peanut butter nougat, peanuts and milk chocolate and the Snickers Dark candy bar, which is my favorite, features peanuts, nougat and caramel enveloped in decadently – tasty dark chocolate. As stated above, I have yet to try the Snickers Almond bar, so I cannot comment on its taste.
Snickers candy bars are normally packaged in standard – type paper candy bar wrappers. Each of the Snickers wrappers is attractively – designed, with appealing color schemes and lettering featured. In this food writer’s humble opinion, the wrappers for the Snickers Fudge bar and the Snickers Dark bar are the most appealing of all. All of the Snickers bar varieties are easy to open and each variety also lists all pertinent ingredient and nutritional information.
There are several different varieties of Snickers candy bars available at retail stores across America. Of course, there is the regular – style, or traditional Snickers bar, which is an American icon, of sorts. Then there is the Snickers King Size candy bar, which is essentially a larger version of the regular Snickers bar. Other varieties of Snickers candy bars include Snickers Fudge Bar, Snickers Almond Bar and Snickers Dark candy bar.
So far, I have tried all of the varieties, except for the Snickers Almond bar. Every one of the varieties that I have tried has been very tasty and satisfying, but my favorite type is the Snickers Dark candy bar.
In addition to the several varieties of Snickers candy bars, an assortment of Snickers ice cream products are now available in American supermarkets and other food retailers. Snickers ice cream varieties include ice cream bars, mini ice cream bars, ice cream cones and an ice cream brownie.
The texture of the many types of Snickers bars varies, as do the flavor and appearance of each bar. The regular – style Snickers bar is pleasantly – sticky and multi-textured, with its caramel, roasted peanuts, nougat and milk chocolate. The Snickers Almond bar and Snickers Dark bar are similar in texture to the regular bar, but the Snickers Almond bar features the addition of roasted almonds and the Snickers Dark bar features dark chocolate, in place of milk chocolate. Personally, I think that the Snickers Fudge bar offers a texture that is most different from the other varieties. The combination of peanut butter nougat and peanuts in milk chocolate is just as satisfying as the other varieties, however.
The regular retail price charged for one regular – style Snickers bar at Hartford, Connecticut area supermarkets ranges from approximately $.89c – $1. Most of the other varieties cost roughly the same, except for the Snickers King Size bar, which usually retails for approximately $1.29 – $1.49.
Snickers bars are available in several varieties. So far, I have tried most of the varieties and have been pleased with each type I have eaten. These candy bars are highly recommended by this food writer.
