“Atlanta Grape Lady”

This clip originally appeared on Fox 5 Atlanta. I’m sure the original up-loaders of this video knew it was destined to be a classic. From what we have read, the woman who stumbles off the platform was perfectly OK after a few minutes, she just had the wind knock out of her.
Originally appearing on Fox 5 out of Atlanta, I’m really wondering if the original video up-loaders knew this was going to be a hilarious hit. This totally starts out as a serious news bit talking about how whoever stomps the most grapes at this winery will win an overnight stay there. The interviewer and interviewee get into these buckets of grapes and the interview gives the snide remark “how disgusting,” which automatically makes the video great because you know she doesn’t want to be doing this in the first place. The video goes on about the lady from the winery (interviewee) talking about some of the things they can do there on the property while they’re stomping these grapes which is really funny looking. After about 30 seconds, the interviewer loses her balance and does a face plant off of the platform that they’re standing on and its no small fall at over 5 feet. Ha ha. You hear the audio still of her saying “Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh I can’t breathe, oh, oh, oh” and I can’t help but laugh hysterically. They of course promptly switch back to the two news anchors that were on before they went to the live feed of the grape stomping. In a casual manner, the guy anchor says, “Oh I think she is hurt.” Oh really? You couldn’t tell! Ha ha.
“The whistles go…. whoo whoo! The whistles go…. whoo whoo!”

This was recorded in San Francisco on KRON-TV (Channel 4). The story is about cars around the city getting a piece of metal welded into their exhaust tips making a painfully screeching sound as the car accelerates. Its so ridiculously loud that it can even cover the noise of an ambulance and can be heard up to a mile away. Then enters the two characters named Bubb Rubb and Lil Siss. These two just really make the video as funny as it has become to be. Bubb Rubb is the guy and busts in with a “WOO WOOO” and Lil Siss says, “its just for decoration,” with her eyes about 80% shut because she probably just smoked about 2 joints before she was interviewed. Bubb Rubb then continues to talk about how “its an alarm clock in the morning” and that “you should be up cooking breakfast anyway” because they claim its only loud in the morning. They then talk to Marcello Carbrera, an owner of one of the muffler shops that are willing installing these things, and he comments that he doesn’t want these whistle tips in his neighborhood, but he’ll “sell them whatever they want.” Doesn’t make a lot of sense to me which makes it hilarious. The ending of this video really takes the cake, though. Bubb Rubb has no problem showing off how cool his new whistle tips are. He takes off in his piece of junk supra with cheap wheels, on the wrong side of the street AND runs a stop sign, all caught on videotape. Hilarious.

GI-Joe used to make educational short clips for the end of every episode that they aired. The key line at the end of every clip was “.. And knowing is half the battle.” Fensler Film decided that they would dub over these classic clips and tweak the animation a little bit at points. In turn, they made one of the earliest set of Internet video classics! I say set because there are in total, 25 of these videos and each one is funnier than the next. It was really hard for me to choose a favorite, but alas, I did and thats the one posted in the location URL. The first line of the video always gets me: “Last one there is a penis pump!” Like, what did you just say?! Ha ha. Too classic.
