The Exception Is Inception
In a summer where animations such as Toy Story 3 and Despicable Me dominated the box office, Inception was without a doubt a movie that you simply can’t miss. It’s one of those revolutionary movies that transfix your mind into one place. Like the Matrix, Inception was simply one of those movies that made you question everything in life. Despite the mediocrity of my seats within the movie the movie kept my attention. Sitting still, staring blankly at the screen, thoughts empty. With all that encompasses your mind is the movie and only the movie. The long and hard thinking comes afterwards.
It be pointless to go on with a plot summary, meaningless text would just confuse you from the amazing film itself. In a nutshell I simply do not have the mental capabilities to really go into this film as I myself had times where I was confused. Text derived from the movie would simply bring us nowhere. Despite my lack of understanding of some parts of the movie, inception was outstanding. The concept was well thought out and executed through. A thriller with a deep story line.
Factoring everything what differentiated Inception with many other movies is the connection of the unknown we all feel. The dream world or Lucid dreaming is based off of the sub-conscious something we as humans cannot control. It’s amazing to really look at the movie and think about the full potential of the mind. Pardon me as I lack details on the idea behind inception. Consult Wikipedia if you actually want to go into detail about the specs of the movie and what not.
After all that said and done Inception itself was simply to mindboggling and I would be lying if it did not give me a headache after the movie. The headache reminiscent to the one you get after exploring a physics equation you simply can’t solve. Sorry I wouldn’t regard this as really a review on the movie but just a thought and an opinion on the film. After all, its all just a thought. With no context around it I leave you with this quote from the movie. You’re waiting for a train; a train that will take you far away. You know where you hope this train will take you, but you can’t be sure. But it doesn’t matter – because we’ll be together.’
Just think about that. I don’t know what to really say. Inception is just one of those movies that make you think, a lost art in today’s production of movies. So stop reading any more reviews or plot summaries, that would simply do no justice for the movie and yourself. Simply just check it out. Reading another review would just be senseless advertising for the movie itself. Overall I enjoyed this movie alot and I recommend it to anyone.
