The Brett Family show in Branson, Missouri is going on a six-week hiatus, but will return in September for an all new show. The Brett Family consists of five individually talented members. Tom and Andrea are joined on stage with their children, Briahna and Brydon Brett.Tom and Andrea’s youngest son, Garon, will be absent from the show starting in September, 2010 as he is taking some time off to join in a missionary trip for two years.
The Brett Family show provides two hours of non-stop fun, laughter and smiles. From original tunes to classic favorites, the show features something for everyone. Good, clean jokes are also in the lineup. This show is so good for all families, and the Bretts believe that smiling is healthy.
Tom and Andrea Brett had a dream for their family quite a few years back, when Tom moved the family to Branson, Missouri from Texas. After doing a summer at the area theme park, Silver Dollar City, the family spent some time entertaining on the Showboat Branson Belle. For the past 12 years, the family has been entertaining folks from theaters on the strip. Currently, this great show is housed in the Dick Clark Theater. Original songs written by Andrea as well as a patriotic tribute poem are performed in the show.
Briahna Brett-Perkins loves her part in the family show, and says this about her job duties:”I’m the gopher girl in this organization! Like the rest of the family and staff, I wear many hats, which I love. I get to cover all the bases from show production, design and creation, singing, dancing, playing, and doing what I love with people I love, to marketing, booking tour dates, making promotional appearances, keeping up with management duties and so on. It’s HARD work, but great work!”
Brydon Brett has recently returned to the show, after a leave of absence to obtain his college degree. Brydon performs the Emcee duties smoothly and naturally, and is also the “cut-up” of the group. A variety of original songs written by both Brydon and his brother Garon are featured throughout the show. The last time I attended the show, the two boys were showing off their basketball-handling skills in an entertaining segment.
This show has talent, fun and a good-time written all over it. It is what I call, “one of Branson’s gems.” All members of this family are nice, genuine and are true entertainers, through and through.
