As an Xbox gamer, I know that there are a few things that may come in handy, especially since school is out and everyone is looking for a good time. This article is strictly dedicated to those Xbox gamers who are looking to upgrade their consoles and/or game-play. I’ve compiled a list of possible gaming accessories that may prove useful, and can make your experience that much better.
10) Fight Stick
For those players who are into fighting games, this arcade-style fight stick allows you to do just that; fight. It’s suitable for games like Super Street Fighter IV and Marvel vs. Capcom 3, which will be released next year.
9) Test Messaging Kit
Writing out messages to friends on Xbox Live can be tough if you’re using a regular controller. Look for the text messaging kit; it’s a handheld keyboard that plugs into your controller and allows you to type messages instead of relying on the standard controller.
8) Microsoft Points
Many titles such as Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Batman: Arkham Asylum have game add-ons that give you more challenges, and bring a little more jazz to the already booming concert. Make sure you have those points handy to obtain sweet challenges to an already awesome game.
7) Xbox Live 12 Month Gold Card
This isn’t really a suggestion, but a must have. If you play online, you need a gold card. Whether you get a card from the store or you pay Microsoft directly, you need an online membership if you want to take advantage of those game add-ons I mentioned before. It connects you to other players and shares your scores for bragging purposes or plain ‘ole competition.
6) Wireless Network N Adapter
To cut down on all the plugs-in and wires, get the latest Network Adapter for your Xbox. Not only does it work flawlessly on whatever network it connects to, it links to your network quicker than the previous model.
5) 250 GB Hard Drive
If you’re going to download add-ons, or even if you want to download an entire game, you’ll need the hard drive with the most memory. Despite the internal 250 GB hard drive that comes with the new Xbox Slim, the attachable 250 is the best for those who would rather not buy a completely new system.
4) Battery Charger
For those who have wireless controllers, go for the battery charge so that your controller is charged and waiting for the next encounter with the unknown!
3) Wireless Controller
Sit back, relax, and be comfortable without having to worry about the cord pulling at your console. Every gamer should be able to relax and not get tangled in cords, especially with their controller.
2) Racing Wheel
For games like Blur, and Split Second, or even the Need For Speed franchise, the racing wheel will make you feel like you’re in the driver’s seat.
1) Wireless Headset
Again, don’t get tangled up in cords. The wireless headset connects to your controller for a smooth communication avenue. Talk to your friends on Xbox Live while making an omelet in the next room, but don’t burn yourself!
