The benefits of being able to forgive, far out number the benefits of holding onto resentments.
Resentments can eat you alive and cause you to have a heavy burden on your heart. When you can forgive and move on in spite of what’s happened; then you’re in a position to take your power back and start to achieve your goals again.
When You Don’t Forgive
When you don’t forgive, the resentments that you carry, with you, turn into real physical symptoms that can kill you, literally.
Able To Forgive
Resentments can cause people to turn to things like food, drugs, and alcohol, which can quickly turn into addictions that can cause your life to spiral out of control. When you’re able to forgive, then you’re in control of your own actions and are able to focus on what you want out of life without being swayed by outside influences.
When you forgive, it means that you have a level of acceptance of things as they are and you’re able to move on. To forgive is not to forget but it’s to accept and go on into the future with more knowledge and experience that builds and molds you into a better person.
People That Can’t Forgive
People that can’t forgive are often stuck in the past and are holding on to resentments about people, places, and things that are long gone and forgotten about by other people. When you have the ability of being able to forgive, you not only live longer, you have a much more fulfilling life.
Bitterness And Despair
Not being able to forgive, only leads to bitterness and despair. This only leads to more heartache and destruction.
Grab hold of your heart right now, and forgive those who have wronged you in the past. I’m sure that a lot of them didn’t even know what they were doing because they were just responding to things the way they learned to, based; on how they were raised.
Often times, we as human beings do things without thinking first, of how it will affect other people. When we’re able to forgive, we’re able to move on, and move forward.
As members of humanity, we all have thoughts and feelings; that unfortunately, aren’t always taken into consideration.
Live Long And Prosper
Remember, to forgive is to grow and move beyond your present circumstances. Let’s live long and prosper.
