Taste of Mexico is a restaurant that recently opened in Enid, Oklahoma. It is located at 1927 S Van Buren, which is also Highway 81. It is a great place to stop and eat dinner. You could even stop there on your way through town if you are passing through on a trip.
When you first go into the building, they let you sit yourself. They have booth and tables both to choose from to sit in for your meal. They first came and got our drink orders. The server immediately placed a big bowl of chips along with cheese sauce, two kinds of salsa, and hot relish on our table. They brought a cheese sauce for everyone in the party. We did not try the relish because we don’t eat it. Everything else was amazing. We have problems with going to a few places that do not give you cheese for free. Sometimes you don’t like the salsa, but like the cheese. At this place, we were very happy with everything they put down on the table for us. Our drinks had crushed ice in them. I know this might not be a big deal to everyone, but I am a huge fan and was happy to see this in my drink. They do offer beer, but neither of us ordered it.
The menu had several items on it that looked very good. My husband and I both finally decided on the same dish. It was a Leo’s Special. It had two enchiladas that were covered in cheese and lettuce. It came with rice and refried beans. We both were amazed at how good the food tasted. We both ate way too much and stuffed ourselves, but it was worth it. We will be going here again for sure. We felt like we finally found a place that we will always be happy with the food. I would highly recommend this to anyone in the area.
