Overview:

If you desire a truly portable laptop that you can easily carry with you to work, school or on airplanes, but you still want to be able to use your most demanding applications, then you’ll want to view the following computer. The Sony VAIO 13.1″ 128GB Laptop, Model: VPCZ12LGX/B features a truly portable design as well as features that will support business professionals and students alike. The price for this Sony VAIO Laptop averages $1,800, which in my opinion is too expensive for a computer of this configuration; however, if price is not an object, then I do suggest taking a look at the features and technologies located within this Sony VAIO Laptop.

Product Ratings:

Performance: 4/5 Stars

Hard Drive: 3/5 Stars

Features: 3.5/5 Stars

Overall Rating: 3.5/5 Stars

Processor and Hard Drive:

The processor for this Sony VAIO VPCZ12LGX/B laptop features the Intel Core i5 Processor, which is perhaps one of the best features within this computer. The Intel i5 Processor will provide you with the ability to run several applications at a time without features a lag in performance or functionality. This is definitely an excellent processor that everyday computer users will be able to benefit from; however, this is the only feature that I feel fits the price tag for this computer.

One of the most disappointing features within this Sony VAIO VPCZ12LGX/B laptop is the hard drive capacity, which measures 128GB. For a computer that is close to $2,000 I would of wanted to see a substantially larger hard drive, even though users can purchase an external drive to keep their media files in. If you’re going to pay this much for a laptop, you should have a minimum 640GB hard drive, but ideally you would want a hard drive that is close to 1TB, or 1000GB.

Display and Graphics:

The monitor for this Sony VAIO VPCZ12LGX/B laptop measures the 13.1-inches and features a screen resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels. This monitor is a great size if you want to have an ultra-portable laptop but don’t desire the constraints of a netbook. With a screen resolution this high, you’ll be able to enjoy true HD quality videos and images. The graphics card for this Sony VAIO VPCZ12LGX/B laptop is the NVIDIA GeForce GT card that is supported by the Intel HD Graphics chipset, which will help produce lifelike images and detailing that is surprisingly nice for a computer of this size.

Noteworthy Features:

Some of the more notable features within this Sony VAIO VPCZ12LGX/B laptop include a biometric fingerprint sensor, which is an advanced way to protect your computer from unauthorized access. You will also be able to chat with your friends and family through the built-in webcam and microphone; however, this feature is unique because the webcam features face detection technologies, which lock on and track faces within the frame to ensure they remain in focus at all times.
