Whenever I shop at my local Wal Mart store, which is located in Hartford, Connecticut, one of the items that I regularly purchase is a four – pack of Snack Pack Pudding. Interestingly, I have noticed that some of the four – packs label the pudding as Hunt’s Snack Pack Pudding and others are labeled as just Snack Pack Pudding, minus the name Hunt’s. A couple of weeks ago, I finally purchased a package of Snack Pack Banana Pudding and I’m very glad that I did so.
Previously, I had purchased, eaten and reviewed the Snack Pack Banana Cream Pudding, but usually when I looked for the regular Banana Pudding, they were sold – out of the product. I must say, I really like this variety of banana pudding. To me, this smooth and creamy pudding really does taste like bananas and is quite satisfying. I am so impressed with the flavor, consistency and overall quality of this pudding that I have decided to write a product review of it. Presented here, in an effort to assist the consumer, is one food writer’s product review of Snack Pack Banana Pudding.
The package size of the Snack Pack Banana Pudding that I recently purchased is their standard four – pack. The net weight of the package is 14 ounces and each of the four pudding cups weighs 3.5 ounces. In physical size, the package does not take up excessive space and is easy to store.
The regular retail price charged for one 14 ounce four – pack of Snack Pack Banana Pudding at a Hartford, Connecticut Wal Mart store is approximately $1. This is by far the cheapest price I have seen charged for a four – pack of Snack Pack Pudding. At most other retailers, the price per four pack is significantly higher, usually in the $1.69 – $1.89 range. At $1 per package, I think that the price is an incredible bargain, but even at $1.99, I think that the price is reasonable, translating to $.50c per portion.
The consistency of Snack Pack Banana Pudding is delightful. Very smooth and creamy, this pudding is a real pleasure to eat, offering a wonderful mouth – feel that makes eating this pudding a fun thing to do. Besides eating it plain, I also sometimes like to eat this pudding alongside some crunchier dessert items, which offers an interesting and enjoyable contrast in consistency.

Taste / Flavor
Snack Pack Banana Pudding features a very good flavor that tastes very much like bananas. This silky – smooth and creamy pudding tastes a lot like homemade banana pudding to me, maybe even better. The flavor of Snack Pack Banana Pudding is well – balanced, not too sweet and offers no un – pleasant aftertaste. Through the years, I have eaten many flavors of Snack Pack Pudding and find their Banana Pudding to be one of the most flavorful that I have tried yet. If you like banana pudding, chances are you’ll like this product.
Snack Pack Banana Pudding is interestingly packaged. The four – pack contains four individual pudding cups that are stacked on top of each other, two across. Each set of two is joined together, but they snap apart easily. The individual pudding cups are sealed with foil lids that are easy to open. The four pudding cups are held in place via a cardboard sleeve – like holder that covers the top two pudding cups, leaving the bottom two exposed. The rear label of the cardboard holder also lists all relevant ingredient and nutritional information.
All things considered, Snack Pack Banana Pudding is a smooth and creamy item that tastes delicious. The price of this item varies from store to store, but I’ve never seen it priced at more than $2. These pudding cups are very convenient and can be eaten virtually anywhere. This delightful pudding product is not as easy to find as are the Vanilla and Chocolate varieties of Snack Pack, but this flavor is worth looking for. This product is highly recommended by this food writer.
