Shannon Price spokesperson Shielia Erickson was on “Issues with Jane Velez-Mitchell Wednesday night, answering questions on Jane’s panel on behalf of Shannon Price. Shielia Erickson will be back on Thursday for another round of interviews on “Issues”, which airs on CNN’s Headline News at 4 p.m. PST on week days. Shannon Price, ex-wife of Gary Coleman, has been under fire for reportedly selling the Gary Coleman death photos after he died in late May 2010. Globe Magazine even published one on it’s cover just a week after the “Diff’rent Strokes” star passed away.
Shannon Price Denies Selling Gary Coleman Death Photos
The spokeswoman for ex-wife of Gary Coleman, Shannon Price, didn’t have an easy job on “Issues with Jane Velez-Mitchell” tonight. Erickson tackled blunt probes, such as, “Why did Shannon Price sell the Gary Coleman death photos?” Shielia Erickson replied by saying the Gary Coleman death photo that ended up on the cover of Globe magazine was merely a wife documenting the last moments with her dying husband. “Shannon did not sell the picture,” Erickson explained. “There was no production company hired.” When asked who did sell the Gary Coleman death photos, Shielia Erickson replied, “We found out a close family member sold them.”
The spokeswoman for Price also spoke on the subject of why Shannon Price pulled the plug on life support so soon. Just 24 hours after Gary Coleman reportedly lapsed into a coma as a result of a brain injury sustained in a fall at his home, Shannon Price decided to pull the plug almost immediately, even though in his living will directive, Gary Coleman spelled out that he wanted his life to be prolonged as long as deemed medically acceptable in a case such as this. To that end, Erickson says Coleman’s ex-wife Shannon Price was “pressured” into ending life by the doctors entrusted with his care. “She had a lot of pressure from the doctors. They were basically telling her, “Gary is a vegetable. There’s nothing left.” They pressured her…”.
More on Gary Coleman’s Disturbing Death On “Issues with Jane Velez-Mitchell”: Thursday, 6/17
The segment was short, but Shannon Price spokeswoman, Shielia Erickson, will be back on the show tomorrow night, Thursday 6/17, for another round on the hot-seat. Though some questions were asked and answered tonight, it is likely the topic of the Gary Coleman death photos, the Gary Coleman living will and estate wills, and Shannon Price’s decision to end life support so early will come back into play. In a case that seemingly has even more twists and turns and sordid goings-on than the death of Anna Nicole Smith, it’s hard to imagine what will happen next.
In terms of Gary Coleman and his final wishes, apparently no one argues the fact that the “Diff’rent Strokes” star wanted to be cremated and have no large public memorial. To that end, Gary Coleman will be cremated, and a judge has ruled no memorial shall be arranged until it is clear what is going on with his estate. Gary Coleman’s remains after cremation will also be disturbingly “up for grabs”, pending the settlement of not one, not two, but at least three different reported wills Gary Coleman had drawn up prior to his death. Current contenders in the Gary Coleman will and estate battle are ex-wife Shannon Price and an old friend Of Coleman’s, Anna Gray. Stay tuned…
