Menopause was not a pleasant experience for me. I started in my early 40’s and didn’t finish until my mid-50’s. During that time, I was a bundle or hormonal nerves and medical symptoms.
I had hot flashes 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week. It was utterly ridiculous. My poor body worked in overtime trying to keep me cool. Nothing worked!
At the time I certainly could have used something like Secret Clinical Strength Deodorant. It works like a charm.
A lot of people routinely experience the same kind of constant perspiration problem I had during menopause. Only they deal with it for an even longer period of time; sometimes their entire lives. It is a condition known as hyperhidrosis and approximately one percent of the American population suffers its effects.
For some it is as simple as getting sweaty palms when they are nervous or upset. For others it is excessive underarm sweat only. A few perspire uncontrollably all over the body.
The condition is believed to stem from one of two things – hormone change and/or a breakdown of the endocrine system. Either way, the end result of excessive sweating can be both embarrassing and debilitating.
For these individuals a normal deodorant simply doesn’t work or it lasts only minutes rather than hours. That’s why Secret came to the rescue to develop their clinical strength alternative.
Secret Clinical Strength Deodorant with Powder Protection Scent works by accomplishing several things at once. First, is allows the perspiration to take hold of Secret’s odor eating capsules. Next, it transfers that wetness protection shield into the skin pores wherever the deodorant is applied.
This process allows the deodorant to block some of the most offending pores in order to slow down the rate of perspiration. This temporary “plug” remains in place throughout the day.
Rest assured; however, that the effect is temporary. Application of Secret in some areas of the body in no way affects other the other areas’ ability to perspire and cool the body.
Finally, the Powder Protection Scent helps do away with the odor of remaining bacteria that results from excessive sweating. It leaves the skin smelling fresh and clean as a baby’s skin.
Unlike many deodorants, Secret Clinical Strength with Powder Protection Scent does not contain aluminum chloride. Although this chemical is routinely used in deodorants, it can actually cause damage or irritation to very sensitive skin.
It does; however, contain newly developed technology that works in the same way as aluminum chloride but without its negative effects. In fact, the formula actually soothes irritated skin and conditions it to make it better than ever.
This deodorant’s active ingredient is aluminum zirconium trichlorohydrex. It also contains C 18-36 acid trigylceride, cyclodextrin, cyclopentasiloxane, dimethecone, fragrance, PPG-14 butyl ether, petroleum and tribehenin.
All blends of Secret Clinical Strength are for external use only including Powder Protection Scent. It should not be applied anywhere on the body other than the underarm area. Application; however, should cease immediately if redness or rash occurs on or around the area where the deodorant is applied.
This deodorant may not be recommended for people who suffer from kidney disease. Check with a physician before using any Secret Clinical Strength Deodorant.
This product is also not recommended for use on children. Consult a physician if your child suffers from hyperhidrosis rather than attempting to solve the problem on your own.
Apply the deodorant under the arms at bedtime. This allows it to work when the body is best able to process its ingredients.
While Secret Clinical Strength with Powder Protection Scent can be applied in the morning, such application may reduce its effectiveness. The best wetness protection comes from nighttime application
There is no need to over apply or reapply the deodorant. A thin layer will work effectively for 24 hours.
The Powder Protection Scent is my personal favorite among Secret’s clinical strength deodorants. However, Clinical Strength does come in several formulas. These include Original Light and Fresh; Sensitive Skin; Sport and Waterproof. All of them can be found anywhere Secret products are sold. This includes drugstores, discount department stores and some grocery marts.
Cost varies from store to store but averages out less than $5.
