Walt Disney World can be expensive so going to the cheapest most affordable Disney Hotel can help you save money. Disney now offers three different choices for budget hotels at the Walt Disney World Resort. The first budget hotel for the Walt Disney World Resort is the All Star Sports resort. The All Star sport resort has advantages and disadvantages compared to the other Walt Disney World Resort budget hotels. It is these advantages and disadvantages we will be looking at as well as a general overview of the Walt Disney All Star Resort complex.
The Walt Disney All Star Resort is themed to sports. If you are a sports fan you will enjoy the themeing of this hotel complex. The pools are themed to certain sports, for instance there is a baseball themed pool. There is also a surfing themed pool. The buildings are also themed to a particular sport. The baseball poll is in front of the Baseball themed hotel rooms.
One clear advantage about the Walt Disney All Star Hotel over the other Walt Disney World budget hotels is that it is the last bus to be picked up to the Disney locations so you will not have to stop at a few other places on your way to where you are going, and on the way back the All Star is the first stop meaning you get to your destination sooner, whatever way you are going you get there sooner then the other budget hotels.
However there is a clear disadvantage if you spend any time at the other budget hotels you will soon notice. The noise level at the All Star Hotel is much louder. The reason the noise level is louder is because they are rooms for people with less money people who have small young families often are the ones that stay in these hotels. Besides the many young kids the All Star was the first hotel and did not have the advantage of learning from the others. After the All Star was made it seems that Disney got smart and started giving more room and more sound barriers between rooms and pools or other areas that people may congregate at.
Even though the All Star is loud there are things you can do to make it quieter for you. The loudest rooms by far are the surf rooms because they are right next to a pool, and they are right by the check in building so everyone goes by the surf pool when first entering the complex and when leaving not only to check in and to check out but also when they are going to get the bus to go to a park.
Any room by a pool will be louder then the other rooms. So avoid the Baseball and surf themed rooms. As far as I could tell it seems that the tennis rooms are the quietest. The football rooms have no pool but a large football field where people play football or soccer.
As for rooms they are about what you would expect from a Motel 6 just a little nicer. Overall I think that the All Star Resort is good because it is affordable and you will probably not be spending a lot of time in your room anyway. If you have more money though you may want another option. It seems like half of all of Walt Disney World is in this one hotel.
