And there I was thinking that Comcast, Wave, Quest and Verizon are the big players when it comes to
Internet Services for your home or business.
Well I couldn’t have been more wrong, in fact there is a player that has been lurking in the shadows at Dish TV.
Dish TV is offering Satellite Internet Services at up to 256 kbps upload speed and 1.5 mbps for downloads. The service is apparently 30 times faster than Dial-up.
Dish TV Satellite Internet Services are powered by Wildblue, so you can trust that you are going to be getting a good connection.
So we thought it would be good to try out the service as a replacement for a slow Dial-up service on a friend’s rural property.
The instant it was installed by a really lightning fast Dish TV Technician the service was producing the goods, well my friend decided to get his new toy out… a wireless modem!
The Dish TV Techie in exchange for a coffee and a few cookies helped us to set up the wireless, which was very good of him… thanks Dish TV guy!
It took about 30 minutes to have the Satellite Dish, Internet and TV hooked up, then around 20 minutes for the Wireless to be set up and tested.
Now when you have experienced Dial-up in a rural location, you can really appreciate the faster speeds of high speed internet services. It was noticed straight away, in fact my friends face was a picture as he wandered outside with his laptop connected to wireless Internet.
I don’t think there is going to be any looking back with my friend, he has been able to conduct his business stuff so much easier, and has now even put his old PC in his kids room hooked up to wireless.
Just from our experience at my friend’s rural property I have to recommend Dish TV Satellite Internet Services, it is cheaper and faster than Dial-Up, with so many more opportunities for mobility around the house.
The Dish TV Satellite Internet Service has some great offers and package deals with the TV channels, well worth a look into.I do not work for the company, all I can say is drop them a line if you live rurally or in a location that only receives a Dial-Up service. You won’t regret it, and if you are running a business from your rural home you will be far more efficient.
My friend is still enjoying his high speed service, I was there the other week and I can see just how much the service has improved his business and his family’s internet experience. They have been able to better communicate with friends around the world and the family have even taken to online education… which simply was too expensive and slow with dial-up.
Rural life can definitely be brought closer to the city by virtue of Dish TV Internet.
