In a surprise appearance last night, Sandra Bullock showed up on stage at the Nashville Rising Benefit Concert in Nashville, Tennessee to raise money for victims of the recent floods. Meanwhile, Bullock’s soon-to-be ex-husband, Jesse James, is in the process of packing up his stuff and moving to Austin, Texas. A move that’s said to be so he can be closer to Bullock, as Austin is where she lives. Yet again, Bullock helps others while James helps himself.
At last night’s Nashville benefit concert, in true Sandra Bullock style, she was smart, funny and self-deprecating. Dragging on stage a guitar, she sat down, strummed the opening bars of Deep Purple’s “Smoke on the Water”, then stopped and said, “I can’t play for crap”.
But, not to worry. Sandra Bullock isn’t going to become a country music star any time soon. She was onstage in Nashville instead, to introduce country singer, Faith Hill.
It’s actually not surprising Sandra Bullock showed up at the Nashville benefit last night though. She’s been known for years as a generous donor of her time and money to many different charitable causes. She’s given money and donated her time in the past for disaster relief, education, children’s groups and health issues. Bullock was even given an award in 2009 by the New Orleans’ Warren Easton High School as a thank you for the money she donated to help rebuild and re-outfit the school after Hurricane Katrina.
Jesse James, on the other hand, Sandra Bullock’s soon-to-be ex-husband is continuing his “me, me, me” lifestyle by planning a move to Austin, Texas in July. Although, ostensibly, the move is so his three children from a former marriage can continue their relationship with Bullock, some think it’s more likely so he can either get back together with Bullock (who seriously isn’t that stupid) or get money from her.
With Sandra Bullock being worth $85 million and Jesse James still fighting several lawsuits filed against him for breach of contract, unpaid legal fees and selling motorcycles that violated California’s clean air laws, it seems highly likely the latter is the real reason for his move. Luckily, Bullock was smart enough to have him sign a pre-nuptial agreement before they married, so he probably won’t be getting any money from her either.
You have to wonder sometimes what’s wrong with men like Jesse James. He had a Ferrari and traded it in for a rundown truck. Meanwhile, the Ferrari is looking and acting like the superstar she always was, off helping others, while Jesse James continues to help himself.
