Sandra Bullock is now the highest paid actress Hollywood. Thanks to recent successes, Sandra Bullock finds herself atop the highest-paid-actress list that Forbes just released. During the year spanning June 2009 to June 2010, Bullock brought in $56 million. Her amazing earnings stemmed from the success of The Blind Side and The Proposal, of which she earned percentages on the back end. Most fans would not have guessed that Bullock would be at the top of this list, especially with the negative press that her film All About Steve brought toward her career. Her personal life has also been a distraction from her work, but she found herself at the top of the extremely prestigious Forbes list.
Far behind Bullock and her $56 million are Reese Witherspoon and Cameron Diaz, both of whom made $32 million. Witherspoon is a surprise on this list as well because she hasn’t had a film come out in a while, with 2008’s Four Christmases and 2009’s animated Monsters vs. Aliens her last two credits. She did, however, receive an advance on her next two movies, which was counted in her totals, and those must have been some nice checks. Then there is Diaz, who continues to make money off the Shrek films, and just had Knight and Day (with Tom Cruise) come out in theaters. She will keep making royalties off of the Shrek films, which should keep her on this list, even when she decides that it is time to give up acting.
It would be interesting to measure up the entire list of the highest-earning actresses alongside how much each of their films has made, but Forbes also reportedly takes into account other things as well, including perfume lines and such. The actress considered by many to be the most talented on the planet (Meryl Streep) comes in at number nine on the list at $13 million. One thing that is also interesting about this list is that Emma Roberts (of Harry Potter fame) didn’t make the list, but apparently Forbes isn’t counting her earnings from the Deathly Hallows films. Maybe that will get her on the next list, as Deathly Hallows Part 1 comes out in November. The second film will come out in 2011, but it should also turn out to be a really good year for Kristen Stewart when her Breaking Dawn money comes flowing in.
