Emile’s has been open since 1973 and has been satisfying customers for years. For starters, they are considered mostly a French-Swiss cuisine with very fine and delicious food. Doesn’t that description scream romantic? Well if you’re not sold then let me get into more detail. Though they only server dinner Tuesdays through Thursdays and Fridays through Saturday, they have a highly sophisticated and classical feel to their atmosphere. The lighting is just perfect and the table are spread about just enough so you feel as though you and your date are almost alone. The staff is very nice and impose a very comforting feel. They offer private rooms and have a full bar. They recommend that reservations be made. Let’s get into some of the food. Some of the starters they have are: Gruyere Cheese Fondue that is an authentic Swiss specialty made for two, and the Dungeness Crab Cake that comes with roasted garlic aioli, fresh greens with orange segments. This place is perfect for dates with a friend you’ve been seeing for awhile. Don’t forget to mention that Emile’s is in possession of many restaurant awards such as the Epicurean Rendezvous Award every year since 1985 and the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence since 1994. Wine is perfect to set the mood for a romantic outing. First dates are not recommended because it might seem you are too eager to please and wow your date. This country style restaurant is located at 21747 Bertram Rd. (New Almaden Rd.)
Now this place is kind of a different romantic spot. Though it’s not considered to be as classy and fancy as some well known French cuisines, the La Foret has a old-country feel to it that is great for relaxing. One of the great romantic points to it, besides the great interior design, is the view! Think about it, sitting at a table right near the window and being able to oversee the awe inspiring sight of a stream and foothills. It is open for dinner Tuesdays through Sundays and they have brunch Sunday mornings. Perfect for a couple out on a romantic date, the restaurant has many specials for two. Some of the recommended entrees are: Kobe Beef which is a exquisite meal but it is very expensive with a price $95, there is also the Lobster Tail Quail that is roasted with huckleberries. You can ask for a private booth as well as a seat near the view if there is available. The staff is well informed of the meals and you can ask about anything. Oh, if you ever go ask about the Wild Game meal.With the food as expensive and expertly prepared as can be, the La Foret restaurant is a perfect pick for couple who want to go out for a romantic evening or a special occasion.

This romantic spot is located at 410 Saratoga Ave. (Kiely Blvd.)
Yes, another French cuisine. This restaurant is oozing with romance. Almost every bit of it is perfect for a perfect couple’s night out. The setting is casual dressy and they offer private rooms. Reservations are suggested and they are open for lunch Thursdays through Fridays and they offer Dinner nightly. The atmosphere is great with the well placed tables and scenery like expensive paintings on the walls and flowers on tables throughout the place. The waiters are highly professional and act as such. The wine is just amazing but a but pricey. The thing that makes this Le Papillon the place for a romantic getaway is the food. Here are some of the recommendations: two appetizers are Truffled Hamachi tartar with Avocado and Ricotta Gnocchi with Porcini Mushrooms. some of the main courses are Pan Roasted Beef Tenderloin with Golden chanterelles and Brased California Sturgeon with Blood Orange. The price range is moderate and is affordable for a casual outing or a special occasion. The Le Papillon was the top place to go for many years and still is. With a wonderful reputation and great service, this is the best place to venture if you wish to experience the best romantic evening here in San Jose
