I have recently began getting knocks at my door. They are the Jehovah’s Witnesses. Now I was baptized about 6 years ago in a Baptist church. I had joined the choir and began trying to live a Christian life the way it says in the Bible, I suppose. I have been falling from the church and do struggle day in and out with the “fleshly sins”. I am dealing with this and know how to get myself back on track and am just being stubborn at the moment, however let’s get back to the topic. I have the Jehovah’s Witnesses knocking on my door.
I’ve always heard people make jokes about them or prank them all the time. My uncle drew the outline of the body on the front steps and threw some of the watch tower books around it. He said that kept them from knocking on his door. It’s quite funny if you think about it but it’s quite evil at the same time. They probably have a Wanted Poster of him in all of their buildings. My aunt tells me that she was speaking to a Jehovah’s Witness untill the woman got very testy about one of my aunt’s opinions.
I haven’t scared them away or been rude to them only because I’m scared they will dust their feet off at my door and I would like to hear them out a little. I looked them up online and feel a little frightened of them now. Before I clicked on one of the pages to read I seen one line refer to them as a cult. I didn’t click on that one though, I clicked on the line through wikipedia.
As I read, I got a little confused. I had thought that there wasn’t difference between their religion and a baptist. They don’t believe in Hell. They believe that there is a Satan but no Hell. They think that your soul will either die with the body, be reincarnated on the new Earth after Armageddon or a few will be selected to go to Heaven. How many is a few? Out of all of the millions of people who have come and gone, what is exactly a few? If people are being reincarnated, maybe that is where inbreeding is coming from. (I’m just kidding on that one.) If there is no Hell, where is Satan? If God is in Heaven, where is Satan staying?
They also don’t believe in getting blood transfusions. I know that is a common thing in alot of religions but it is almost forbidden with a Jehovah’s Witness. I’m sorry if this is wrong, but if I accidentally cut my finger off and needed some blood to live, I think I would have to take the blood. Although, it would be kind of cool to be reincarnated as a roach and live forever. (I’m just kidding again, sorry.)
I also read that the congregation, I guess you could call it, will sort of kick people out for not following their rules. The sinner will be humiliated and kicked out. It actually said they are punished but I’m hoping that was in the old days. Are they stoning people in the USA too for looking at a man? Who knows anymore, the end is coming!
Well, I look forward to all of the criticism I receive from this article. Seriously though, I am still asleep at 8 am in the morning on SATURDAY! I’m thinking about doing the body drawing and using the watchtower books on my kitchen table.
