Raging Waters Sacramento is the largest water park in the Sacramento area and if you do not count the bay area then Sacramento’s Raging Waters is the largest water park in Northern California. The only other water park in the Sacramento area is Golfland Sunsplash. While Golfland Sunsplash does offer far more to do then a water park if you are only intrested in going to the best water park in the area then Raging Waters Sacramento is by far the best water park.
Raging Waters Sacramento offfers the typical water park fare such as a lazy river and a wave pool. The lazy river is far longer then Sunsplash. The wave pool is also much larger then the wave pool at Sunsplash. One thing that is a most at a water park that Sunsplash does not have is a tall sharp drop slide which Raging Waters has two of called Cliffhanger which you can race against your friends to the bottom of the 6 story slide.
The Shark Attack slide complex alone offers about all you get from Sunsplash. The Shark Attack slide complex offers five different slide options from small tubes, large tubes, tube less, and enclosed the Shark Attack slide complex has most of the your standard water park rides.
New rides have been added recently including the Honolulu Half Pipe which the fairly new and popular half pipe style ride. The newest ride is the Dragons Den which mixes up the riding experience offering both inside and outside tubing fun and a great dragon theme.
Raging Waters Sacramento has a few more small slides too. Raging Waters Sacramento also has a large play area for kids called Hook’s Lagoon with a pirate theme kids will love. Hook’s Lagoon is much better then the small area that Sunsplash offers. Pirates are very popular right now and so kids will love being able to play in a wet and wild pirate water play area.
