Protect Color-Treated Hair with Pantene Color Preserve Shine Products

by itchyfish

Color-treated and highlighted hair is vulnerable to excessive damage because the coloring process weakens the strands and breaks down the hair’s protein. The only thing you can do to protect your hair from damage and restore shine is to use hair care products that are specially-formulated for color-treated hair.

The Pantene Color Preserve Shin hair care products are a great match for color-treated hair. I recently switched from my regular shampoo and conditioner to this collection, and my color-treated hair was much softer, shinier and appeared healthier after just five days of daily use. Here are some tips for using these products to protect and restore color-treated hair.

Using the Pantene Color Preserve Shine Shampoo
The Pantene Color Preserve Shine Shampoo works by cleansing the scalp and strands to remove residue and also polishes the hair to create a smooth, vibrant finish. You only need a small amount to work it into a rich lather, and you will need to massage it gently into your hair for about five minutes. Work the shampoo into your hair with warm water. Massaging your scalp with light pressure will help to increase circulation and also remove oils and product build-up.

The Pantene Color Preserve Shine Shampoo is powerful enough to cleanse the scalp of oils and buildup, but will not damage vulnerable, color-treated hair. This particular shampoo contains micro-polishers that smooth and refinish your strands, leaving the outer layer looking smooth and shiny.

Using the Pantene Color Preserve Shine Conditioner
Using the Pantene Color Preserve Shine Conditioner after each application of Pantene Color Preserve Shine Shampoo will enhance your results. The conditioner contains several ingredients that moisturize colored hair and also protect it from further damage. Using the shampoo and conditioner together regularly will add multi-dimensional shine to your hair and will also leave your hair looking glossy, smooth and soft.

Apply conditioner to the top of your scalp, then use your fingers to comb it through your hair to the end of your strands. You will need to leave the conditioner in your hair for at least five minutes so that the moisturizing compounds can sink into the hair and scalp. This product also contains micro-polishing agents that work by leaving hair shiny and glossy. Rinse the conditioner out of your hair with warm water, then rinse again with cold water to close the cuticle and make your hair even more shiny.

If you want to protect your color-treated or highlighted hair from damage and keep it looking shiny and smooth, try the Pantene Color Preserve Shine product collection. Both the shampoo and conditioner can keep your colored hair looking vibrant and smooth and can strengthen your strands to prevent future damage.
