Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands was recently released and the good news is that it is not some movie video game as you would expect with the recent Prince of Persia movie. However, while the Prince of Persia Forgotten Sands is not a movie based game there are some negative aspects to this game. I think that the movie did hurt the game because it seems that they did hurry to get a game made in time for the movie release and that hurt the overall game. Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands does have some strong points though and if they had taken the time to develop the game it could have been one of the best of the Prince of Persia franchise.
The Prince of Persia Forgotten Sands is being released on about every possible console. The Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is available on PS3 Xbox 360, Nintendo DS, Sony PSP, Wii, and the PC. The odd thing is that the Wii version of the game is not like the other versions of the game. Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands takes advantage of the Wii motion controller. The Wii game though does have some changes to it compared to the other Prince of Persia Forgotten Sands. The Wii features a power ring and a protection sphere. The Wii controls have been subdued on purpose so that the game would not be to physically demanding.
The other versions of Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands use classic game features of the other Prince of Persia games but adds in some new innovations. These innovations would be great additions to the Prince of Persia Forgotten Sands if the game would have had time to be fully developed. You can rewind time for the entire game, you learn new powers, and there is the addition of elemental powers. These powers are not as simple as they appear but add a lot to the over all game play of Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands. These elemental powers interact with each other, and they interact with the Princes powers.
The graphics of Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands are typical of what you would would expect from a current generation platform. One problem with Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands graphics is slow rendering when large groups of AI are being fought. As for replayability Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands does not offer much in the way of replayability. Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands does offer you lots of game play time even though the replay value is limited.
The Wii version actually seems to be a better game then the other versions of the Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands. If you are a fan of the Prince of Persia series then you will like the Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands. I would not recommend The Prince of Persia Forgotten Sands to most players though. I would have to recommend the Wii version of the game over the other versions. If some of the features of the game go into another Prince of Persia game it could make for a good game. I also think besides Prince of Persia fans the Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands would be liked by fans of Assassins Creed.
