Glamping. Has anyone heard of this phenomenon before? Our favorite pretty little liars are about to tease their hair into a poof, apply several layers of makeup, and head out into the woods to experience the great outdoors and enjoy a professional massage. Seriously. Mona’s birthday is upon us, and even though none of the main characters even appear to currently get along with her, they all partake in her odd birthday party’s theme: Glamorous Camping. Of course, hilarity (and a good dose of suspense) will ensue.
Promotional pictures show Emily (Shay Mitchell) holding a bracelet (Alison’s?) and looking concerned, Spencer (Troian Bellisario) holding a piece of paper the size of a business card and looking concerned, and Aria (Lucy Hale) rocking some crazy 80s hair and, of course, looking concerned. At least Mona seems pleased as punch. She even has custom sweatshirts made for her party–with “Camp Mona” written across the back. Trendy.
After receiving yet another anonymous text, the girls believe that during this glamping trip they will finally discover the identity of A. Unfortunately, the threats made by their secret stalker are getting worse, and after new evidence arises the FBI will also be involved in Alison’s murder case. Yikes!
Meanwhile, Hanna (Ashley Benson) has enough problems of her own. Despite the small fortune she accumulated during her eBay phase, the financial problems in her family have worsened and she is beginning to really feel the strain.
For those speculating on the identity of A, consider this: In the books the first person to pretend to be A was Mona. If the television show is following the same story line, this camping trip could suddenly turn more dangerous than expected. The four girls out in the middle of the woods with their crazed stalker? This has “fatal ending” written all over it.
Originally this episode was written as the season finale. It wasn’t until June 28th that ABC Family signed on for 12 more episodes, resulting in a 22 episode season. Does this mean that we might be in for even MORE mystery and drama than the typical Pretty Little Liars show provides? Maybe even some long-awaited answers? We hope so! Especially since this is the last show we have details about. It looks like there might be a little break before the new episodes start airing again. What will you do during the wait to pass the time?
