2010-2011 NFL Predictions-Round 2
After the trades and drafts that have happened over the past couple of months, my first prediction article needed to be revised. Here is the new and update one. I will probably post another one when the season is getting ready to start.
New York Jets 12-4 The Jets had an outstanding off-season and have a great attitude towards winning.
New England Patriots 10-6 The Pats still have a great offense, but age factors may be starting to show.
Miami Dolphins 9-7 The Dolphins could be a bit of a surprise team this year, but I do not think they will make the playoffs.
Buffalo Bills 2-14 The Bills are in bad shape. Their draft will help them somewhat with the addition of Spiller, but they will not be a good football team this year.
Baltimore Ravens 12-4 The Ravens are a solid football team, and the addition of Boldin makes them even more dangerous.
Cincinnati Bengals 9-7 The Bengals may find themselves in contention for a playoff spot now that the Steelers have no quarterback for the first four games.
Pittsburgh Steelers 8-8 The Steelers will not make the playoffs. With Roethlisberger missing in action for the first four games, they will suffer.
Cleveland Browns 3-13 Cleveland is in bad shape. They finally have a proven QB, but Delhomme is coming off his worst season and he is getting old. Seneca Wallace would be the best choice.
Indianapolis Colts 14-2 The only words that need to be said : Peyton Manning.
Tennessee Titans 11-5 This scenario may play out differently because the Texans will be a good team to, but with Chris Johnson I think the Titans will come out on top.
Houston Texans 9-7 The Texans could do better than this, but it seems like they always find a way to mess up in crunch time.
Jacksonville Jaguars 6-10 The Jaguars are not a bad football team, but they don’t have all the pieces put together right now, and it doesn’t help that they are in arguably the best division in football right now.
San Diego Chargers 11-5 Although the Chargers lost LT, they still have an excellent football team, and the addition of Ryan Matthews will benefit them tremendously now and in the future.
Denver Broncos 9-7 The Broncos lost Brandon Marshall but they gained a big time receiver in the draft. They could be better than this but they do not know who will start the season at QB, which is an issue.
Kansas City Chiefs 6-10 The Chiefs aren’t quite there, but they keep getting better every year. They could be the cinderella story of the season.
Oakland Raiders 5-11 For the first time in a long time, I can honestly say that I was impressed by the Raiders off-season. They dropped there bust QB and are starting over with Jimmy Clausen, who many experts believe will end up being the best QB to come out of this year’s draft class.
Chicago Bears 12-4 Yes, I am a Bears fan but that is not the only reason I have them at the top of the NFC North. The Bears are putting together a good team. They have receivers that are gaining popularity, a QB that WILL bounce back, a monster at defensive end (Julius Peppers), and they drafted a cover safety in Major Wright that may cure up some of their coverage problems on defense.
Green Bay Packers 11-5 The Packers will have an excellent team this year. They have been getting better each year and this could be the year that they make a run at the Super Bowl.
Minnesota Vikings 10-6 The Vikings will be good, but personally I think Brett Favre is done. If he comes back, they will have a better team, but either way they may fail to make the playoffs because they are in one of the best divisions in football.
Detroit Lions 5-11 The Lions keep getting better. In several years, this team could be making a playoff run.
Arizona Cardinals 10-6 The Cardinals defense is great.
San Francisco 49ers 8-8 Alex Smith showed that he can play at the end of last season, so we will see what happens with the team this year. This could be a cinderella team.
Seattle Seahawks 5-11 With quarterback problems, I don’t see this team making any type of playoff run this year.
St. Louis Rams 4-12 The Rams will be much improved this year compared to last year. Sam Bradford will be the franchise quarterback they are looking for.
Dallas Cowboys 12-4 The Cowboys found a steal in Dez Bryant and may have finally found all of the pieces to the puzzle. They could make a push late in the season and be a dominant force in the playoffs.
New York Giants 10-6 The Giants will improve compared to last year’s season. They have one of the best rushing attacks in the league.
Philadelphia Eagles 9-7 My last prediction was when the Eagles still had Mcnabb. With Kevin Kolb they will only be decent for a couple of years but in the future they may become an elite team.
Washington Redskins 6-10 The addition of Mcnabb will help the Redskins drastically, but they still don’t have enough weapons to win many games.
New Orleans Saints 11-5 There is too much controversy surrounding the Saints right now to make any bold predictions on how many games they will win and if the “Madden Curse” gets ahold of Drew Brees the Saints could have a long and painful season.
Atlanta Falcons 9-7 Matt Ryan will continue to prove his abilities in the National Football League and the Falcons impressed me in the draft.
Carolina Panthers 5-11 I honestly think that Matt Moore can be a good QB in the NFL. With one of the best rushing teams in the league, there is no reason the Panthers shouldn’t have a winning record, but for the past few years the Panthers have been bad.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 5-11 The Bucs are rebuilding and I am impressed with the improvements they have made. So far, Josh Freeman has proved he can play, and with the addition of a receiver in the first round of the draft he will now have a target to throw to.
