While in Las Vegas, staying at the Westgate Flamingo Bay timeshare resort, we planned on checking out Planet Hollywood Towers by Westgate. On our last stay at Westgate Towers North, in Kissimmee, our home resort, they tried to sell us an upgrade to the Planet Hollywood Towers by Westgate. We told them that we would check it out on our visit in May.
We went to the resort on a free shuttle from the Flamingo Bay. We arrived at the front doors, and went in. We had to go to the escalators, and up to the second floor, to find the lobby, and guest services. We asked one of the employees if we could tour the resort, and see some of the timeshares.
Two gentleman came down and we chatted. They took us up to the 32nd floor, and first we went into a 2 bedroom apartment. I knew that these timeshares were for the rich and famous, and upon entering the door, they had the ‘Wow’ factor.
Everything from the lounger in front of the full windows, that overlooked other casinos, to the all in one blinds that came down over the windows, to form a backdrop for the projection screen that showed the television programs on it, was O.T.T. The furnishing were top notch, the pictures elegant, and the layout amazing. Everything was state of the art, modern design, and what everyone dreams about.
The 5 bedroom timeshare was at the end of the corridor, and the view from here was of the Eiffel Tower on top of the Paris Casino, and all the other ones surrounding it. I can only imagine what it would be at night.
As we moved from room to room, and saw the tables laid for 8 people, and even down to other bedrooms having their own kitchens, living rooms, etc., we were more taken with the premises.
We were offered a 1 bedroom apartment, for one week every other year, for $49,000, back in Kissimmee. We didn’t even ask how much these were, but one of the guys said that they start at $89,000, which has come down, since property prices have dropped.
From here we wanted to see more of the resort, so once we got down to the second floor again, we checked on the huge pool area, where dozens of people were hanging out. You have to check out this area, just amazing.
As we turned the corner we came to the shopping parade, which had many designer shops. There were several restaurants, and they even boasted lunches for around $5.
Continuing on we came to the Planet Hollywood Casino, and we had fun in there. I actually came out with more money than I went in with. We also got complimentary drinks while playing the machines.
We already have 3 timeshares, and had no intention of purchasing, but if money was no limit, this would be a fun place to buy.
I enjoyed relaxing on the chairs, and trying out some of the exciting features. This is the only timeshare in the heart of the strip, that has a casino as well. Not all the floors are timeshares, but with 52 floors to choose from, you would get an amazing view.
Planet Hollywood Towers by Westgate, is located on the Las Vegas Strip, in the heart of the casinos.
