Experience the 16th century right in beautiful Lancaster County. The 30Th season of the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire will return this August. Experience a day in Medieval England, from live jousting to jesters and jugglers. The Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire is truly an amazing experience. Dates: August 14 to October 31, weekends only and Labor Day Monday
Location: 2775 Lebanon Road Manheim, Pennsylvania. Manheim is located in 15 miles north of Lancaster, PA.
Time: 11AM to 8 PM
Tickets and Discounts: Admission costs $24.95 on-line and $29.95 at the gate.
Children passes can be purchased for $9.95.
College students from area colleges can receive a $10 discount on their college’s special weekends.
Adults can receive a $2 discount for arriving in Renaissance era costumes.
Parking: Free Parking is available on site.
The Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire features different themed weekends every weekend. Themes include a Pirate Weekend, Irish and Scottish weekends, and Halloween weekends in October.
Eighty-Five Merchants and Artisans will be on sight. Special demonstrations will occur throughout the festival, including performances by the Mount Hope Trained Band, a living history group that portrays life as 16Th century soldiers. To satisfy your hunger and thirst, the Faire has food and drink from 22 Royal Kitchens to provide food and drink for every appetite at an extra cost. Entertainment is provided on 13 stages with 70 shows daily. Enjoy watching sword swallowers, fire breathers, magicians, and dare devil tumblers. The Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire features the largest jousting arena in North America. Nearly 100 costumed performers also roam the grounds to entertain guests.
Children can also have a great time at the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire with 7 kids games and 4 kids rides at the Faire. Children can also enjoy face painting, wax hands, henna tattoos and hair wraps. Visitors can stop by the Children’s Activities booth for more details. Rides and games are additional fee of $1 to $3.
