Paid Parking Lots for the Intrust Bank Arena and Century II
When it comes to parking in downtown Wichita, Kansas, I would suggest arriving early if you are attending a show or other attractions downtown because of the limited available parking in the surrounding parking lots to the Intrust Arena and Century II. One parking lot is owned by the City of Wichita and the other is a city managed private parking lot. Between the two lots there are 4000 officially designated spaces available.
When we attend the Wichita Music Theater in downtown Wichita, Kansas, we use the paid parking are with meters to the east of Century II. By parking in this area, we are parking to the southeast of the building and it is about half a block to one of the entrances. This makes it easier when it is a rainy day when we are attending a show or other event at the Century II.
There are some available parking areas on the street with meters. If you find yourself needing or wanting to park further away, there is the Q-line that has designated stops to get you closer to the Intrust Bank Arena for concerts, games, and other activities.
However, if there are activities at the Century II, patrons of the arts will be using the same two parking lots listed above for their activities. That is the biggest downside of attending events at the Intrust Bank Arena.
Paid Covered Parking and Parking Garages for Intrust bank Arena and Century II
In the same area of the Main Wichita Public Library, there is a covered parking garage located between Century II and the Hyatt Regency Hotel.
TIP: Under the Kellogg Flyover south of the Century II and Main Wichita Public Library across from Gander Mountain there is a small unmetered covered parking area. My husband and I use the covered parking area when shopping at Gander Mountain. This is one of a few unpaid covered parking areas in the downtown Wichita area.
Other Parking Garages and Lots in Downtown Wichita, Kansas
There are two parking lots near the Wichita City Hall building and Federal Courthouse in downtown Wichita, Kansas. One of the paid parking lots is located to the south of the Wichita City Hall building. The other paid parking lot is across the street from the one attached to the block the Wichita City Hall building is on.
There is a covered parking garage attached to the Wichita City Hall Building that is often used by those who work or have business in at the Wichita City Hall. I have used this one a few times, but found it easier to park in one of the two paid parking lots.
There are other paid parking lots near the Orpheum Theater. If you prefer the covered garages, there are others between Second Street and Douglas as far over as Emporia Street to the East and North Waco to the northwest of the Century II.
Using the Q-Line When Parking at the Other Parking Garages and Lots in Wichita, Kansas
If you are using any of these other parking areas away from the Intrust Arena and Century II buildings, you can use the Q-Line. This is a trolley that circles the downtown area picking up riders from designated areas near these parking lots.
We haven’t ever used the Q-Line because we don’t mind walking to the areas we are visiting downtown because of the parking lots we use that are designated for businesses in the downtown Wichita area.
If you’re not familiar with the downtown Wichita area like we are, the Q-Line would be an alternative way to find parking and reach an area you want to visit with less hassle of finding a parking lot or covered parking garage.
